I'm in the process of trying to build a press release/article distribution service using existing networks and a previously untouched extremely high quality network of news sites i own; in such a service, what is it that people here are looking for? What do people think the most important stuff to do/have is? Stats? Testemonials? etc. My business strategy is to make the best product possible; what is it that people would like, and what specific things should i show/demonstrate/do on the website/marketing to show that it is actually a good service?

Having worked in PR distribution for years, I’d say buyers care more about outcomes than the size of the network. Showing recent live examples, actual publications, indexing, link type, turnaround time and permanence will help with better conversions.

Clearly separate mass press-release syndication from selective editorial placements. DA and traffic help, but credible sites and transparent reporting are what build trust.

If your network is genuinely high quality, protect it with strict content standards and limited volume. Package it around visibility, authority and reputation, not simply “hundreds of placements.”

When I wanted to order a PR service a while ago, the inconsistency from the provider and difficulty in understand what exact was in the service discouraged me from going ahead. Many people just want to throw in any sites into the list are call it a PR service.
