Presell on VSL Pages

I tested it with and without an optin and can tell you that the result was nearly 50/50.
In the first moment I thought it's better to directly point to the VSL page instead of optin but I highly recommend to do
because you can send mails to your leads with discount for example if they don't buy or you can bring them back later to the VSL. Otherwise you don't have any opporunity to get your leads back.
Keep in mind that emails are golden in case facebook bans you and your fb pixel. If you collect the emails you can promote stuff to them always.
