PR increased-Traffic decreased

My site PR is increased but I found that organic traffic to my site decreased by around 70%.

When I had lower PR, I used to get almost 500 UVs per day - now it decreased to around 150 UVs after PR update.

Is it possible?

Any idea why it happened?
Please guide with any solution.
Please help.....

Google seems to be giving everyone very high PR... and everyone is complaining about traffic drops...

I found that live pr is the best and more accurate, are you useing that ?

Don't use PR as an indication of how much traffic you will have or how high you are in the search engines.

But as per my knowledge if you have good PR, it's natural that you'll ger good SERP and so good traffic.
Besides my site was in 1st page for 1 keyword.

I can't understand what is going on!

I have a sie Pr 2 which above a PR9 site.

It means very little.

Type anything into Google.

It's not in order of PR.

So I think this may happened due to sudden yahoo backlink problem - what do you say?
What is the solution then?
Only quality backlinks?

Google updates is PR "score" 2-4 times a year(approximately).

It's just a number they use to represent a very small portion of their ranking algorithm.

Google are constantly looking at your website and where to rank it, nothing changes when they update the number in the toolbar for your PR. Maybe a better way of explaining this is to say your PR is constantly changing everyday, but Google only update the number in your toolbar every few months.
