"PP" Screw You India

I wonder how this will work . Like will paypal automatically send money to our bank account or we manually have to withdraw it .Either ways it sucks !

well they say if anyone from india wants to purchase something from our website, they must have their CC linked to their accounts.... Paypal is following the Indian regulations like anything but still does not provide the Indian Currency for transaction?? how lame is that... if i have indian customers and they pay using their CC, il receive the amount in Dollars and when i will withdraw to bank wont the Currency Fluctuations effect the amount received??

$1 varies from 44-45.smthing INR ... RBI SUX!!

I dont know what these senior level shits think.. I will never vote again for congress..

I cant believe how these companies operate. Their fraud detection services suck and they blame entire countries. Brilliant!

And people who never have disputes or problems get to keep looking for ways to pay or get paid.

Tunisia -> Egypt -> India?

I see government change anytime soon ;)
Fuck them. Don't get them to oppress you!
I am not surprised that China - country that was 6-7 years on same level as India is now 3x bigger economy. And thats with communism!

Make your company's grow and when time is right simply move to Singapore or similar business friendly place. Don't pay taxes that will sponsor this greedy idiots! Register your business somewhere else, open business account and accept money there! Plus tax free ;)

I am still nervous for this news. what is the other option ....

Yes, this is one thing people should do. But until then we probably have to be affected. It sucks.

Also they will charge you if you withdraw less than 7000 INR ! what a mess they have created

we should all gather and boycott paypal
and spread the same words not to use paypal.
alertpay works the same way.

what do you mean by alertpay works the same way? Do you mean to say alertpay is just like paypal

What is the problem?

Starting 1 March, 2011, PayPal customers in India will not be allowed to receive payments for any export-related goods or services for an amount exceeding US$500 per transaction. This change is to ensure that we continue to comply with the RBI Guidelines.
Soltution :

For services , WE can ask our client to pay us in installments.
For products, WE can break it into 2 small parts. (There is rare case for Indians who have products > 500$, for seo products we can break it into multiple parts or get direct payment in installements).

They have restricts $500 / Transaction, Not to / Paypal Account.

Starting 1 March, 2011, PayPal customers in India will not be able to keep money in their PayPal account balance. Instead, all money received into a PayPal account must be transferred to a customer's India bank account within 7 days from the receipt of confirmation from the buyer in respect of the good or services. This change is to ensure that we continue to comply with the RBI Guidelines.
I am really happy with this action.
I always thought If I withdraw my money before 14 days of my last transction , they may be limit my paypal account.
Why so ?
Paypals 30% earnings is from Transaction Fees, and 70% of their earnings came through """Interest of our Money"""".
If We withdraw before 14 days , how they can earn so in results they may limits our paypal accounts. Most of the Indians have paypal limitations because of this situation, but they don't know about it.

But now they have told us that YOU MUST WITHDRAW YOUR MONEY IN 7 DAYS OF YOUR TRANSACTION. so I think this is problem for Paypal not for Indians.

All Iz Well.

Interest rate is a good reason..
But the limit of $500 is a wrong number.
it is 50,000 INR which is monitored for cash flow.
U live in India ? U know how many problems RBI has except to solve this Petty Paypal issues.
RBI does a few fair job ,but it wastes in energy rather saving to fight against swiss bank menace.

you are wrong. the RBI policies have been around since 2004. the fact that there is a 7 days restriction is that if paypal holds the money more than 7 days, they have to pay the interest to us, and should function like a bank with strict rules. as for the $500 limit, anything over $500 cashflow to india needs to be regulated. and paypal do not need that to happen. hence these stupid excuses. never blame someone without having the facts

RBI ki makki***te :D Next time i vote for ramdev baba he is also entering in politics i think he is the only man who can stop corruption and bring back all money from swiss bank.:feedback:

Let me tell you one thing. What they cant do with the swiss bank and billionaires, they're doing it to us.

They cant do anything to the corrupt politicians. So, obviously, we are the ones left.

Easy as it is. :D

the way i see it , its really incovienient for us but RBI must have implemented it because there is a potential to misuse paypal service , i could think of this :
1. anyone can create a fake paypal account with fake PAN number
2. receive huge sum of cash in that account by whatever black or white business he is in
3.use this money to buy some real estate or some other overseas property
this way one can transfer huge sum of money without gov having a clue about it ..think about it , no gov would want to be in such situation .
and regarding the $500 limit , its 1/3 in us around 10k so for india it should be around 300$ so its not that bad either .
i am not trying to say that its really nice move but i guess its the time to understand the pattern and find better alternative instead of whining over it coz sooner or later this policy is going to reflect in every similar service...

Withdraw money within 7 days and they won't even let us buy anything with the balance in our account from 1 march.
