Hey guys, so I found a person through reddit (first red flag) that claims he can get certain licenses for Google ads accounts. I was just curious so I messaged him. He showed me some emails of approvals (I know easy to fake) etc. BUT ... He offered on his own that payment will only be done when the license is issued by Google and the ads are running for at least a few days. So now my questions, what could go wrong in that scenario? Would you give it a shot?

Does not have to be a scam? And if he is offering you that payment will be after, there is pretty much no risk?

Don't overthink everything man, there are honest people in the world and if you don't want to do it, don't waste his time either.

Of course it doesn't have to be a scam but I think it's reasonable to think twice for 2000 dollars. There are thousands of ways to scam people, doesn't even have to involve money (think identity theft etc). That's why I'm just asking here if I maybe missed something what could go wrong.

For 2k I would definitely schedule a call on Zoom with him and let him share his screen and show proof and see what your guts tells you and ask him about guarantees and so on.

As for payments, pay with PayPal in case something happens you can recover your money if you are lucky, don't do bank transfers or crypto.

you would be into the hundredth easily person I read from this type of scam. WHere do you noobs, get the guts to spend like $2k on a random internet stranger promising fools gold? you always learn your lessons (if at all) too late. Stop believing nonsense, spread the word! Check google t& c if you already broke the terms of it, and are trying to circumvent the rules, you re just leaving yourself wide open to people who know the lingo and can prove it, to scam you and popup again.

What's your problem? Went up with the wrong foot? As far as I know it's still allowed to ask for advice here. Then enlighten me and tell me how he would rip me off if payment is done after, since that is the question I initially asked.

It's scammers that mostly know how to make you feel assured. It's a big risk, in my opinion.

Update: I was too curious and went along, I made him the offer that if the ads are running for a week I will pay him (will take around a week to make that amount in profits including ad spend). And would you look at that, he got me the license in 24 hours and my ads are running. The email with the license definitely comes from Google and is not spoofed or similar. The ads are also running within my license (limited to some countries but eligible). What else could go wrong now?

Well, then good luck. I hope its a good deal.

To be honest it sounds this person is legit.

A lot of people sell on Reddit including myself and some people may be skeptical and that's good, but if you do proper research and everything checks out then go for it.

Sounds like the seller is a reasonable person.

Hope everything works out for you man, I'm curious about the Google license? What is that and is the purpose behind it if you mind explaining. Never heard of it.

Looks good so far! There is several licenses which you can aquire to run specific ads on google. A license to run financial ads, license to run social casino ads, license to run government services ads and I don't know what else. He got me one which is usually very hard to get, I saw websites that run ads for that niche so I was sure there has to be a way somehow. But I have no idea how they do that. I know of a different seller who charges 4 times the price and he has an insider in google that's how he can get his hands on licenses. No idea how my guy did that though.
