Posting a Saas link on a reddit thread on certain communities.

I am having trouble promoting a SaaS tool (adding links ) on certain subreddits with a clear self-linking rule. However, I can see other comments with links attached ranking on the threads. Their account is being used for promoting, which forms the majority of their submissions. I would love to know how they can post links on threads and make it stick....

Don't link it, just say the name so people can google themselves

Avoid links. Just mention the brand name, let people search it on Google, it will even help your CTR. Just make sure to buy some upvotes to make your answer more relevant.

I have a simple rule I follow that saves lots of time and hassle now. Let other people link. While you do the promotion and marketing.

A lot of those accounts probably build karma and trust first by engaging naturally before dropping links. They might also be using subtle ways to provide value first, then link as a “resource.” Try being helpful in comments, then slowly add links where it makes sense. Timing and context matter a lot.

If you own the product you don't need links just mention the product name and people will look for it on Google but have make sure the domain is indexed and ranking in Google.Look for questions on reddit that are based on what your product does.

I believe this is the issue. I talked with one of the moderators, and they said that you have to consistently engage with the account first before you are allowed to comment.
