Post panda - what would you do?

Hi all,

I have a tech site that was hit hard by Panda, went from 800 uv/day to now only around 100 uv/day. My sales obviously disapeared. I am now in a bit of a predicement, I want to try to rank for a keyword I was targetting before but I'm not sure what to do, I figured my options are:

1 - Buy a brand new domain and start trying to rank for it using this
2 - Create new content on my panda hit site and try to rank for it.
3 - As suggested by a lot of people, strip down my panda hit site and remove all my weak content pages and then create some new content to try and target the keyword with.

What would everyone do in my shoes?

Stop going for spun content automated backlinks. Use unique content work - ALWAYS.
 
I've heard it said that Panda reacts more quickly to what is currently on a site. I'm going with option 3 on several autoposter sites. (Hey it used to work!)

I have no proof that this is the best way. Hopefully Panda uses it's fresh look at them and takes them for what they've changed into. I suppose starting from scratch would be the sure thing, and I'm doing some of that as well.

And I'm thinning out my herd quite a bit too. Some old sites just aren't worth the time when I look at the keyword potential.
 
yeah try all of the pointed methods, they are good and popular methods.
 
A tool that has been a handy shortcut in this revamping process for wordpress sites has been "Smart 404" plugin

This plugin will perform a search of your posts, pages, tags and categories, using keywords from the requested URL. If there's a match, redirect to that content instead of showing the error. If there's more than one match, the 404 template can use some template tags to provide a list of suggestions to the visitor.

Google panda is simple algorithm launched by Google, it is work and fight against poor or bad website quality content. It measure quality of your site content and if Google crawlers found copy or duplicate content in your site then your site could be get banned or penalize by Google. Google has launched latest version of Google panda that is Google panda 3.4, it's filtering more and more bad quality content sites. So try to use unique and original content in your site.
So, again think this.
 
Well my site was dropping because of panda (i dont NEVER update my content) but now after i have been doing high PR backlinks for few days, i'm ranking quite well (way better than before!!!).

Just make high PR backlinks with low OBL (doesnt matter if ******** or nofollow!! do a mix!!) and you should see your site coming back nicely :) Doing backlinks now and then with GSA is a gods sent
 
i would do 2 or 3 if i was you. The Panda update will kill sites that used to do good with spun content and not original content, but the update will ruin that, so check your site, maybe use copyscape, and then hire some writers to write you some good unique articles. just my 2 cents...
 
Try to get your site out off the filter. Use Analytics to check which pages have the highest bounce rate and find out why using mouseflow . c0m
Creating fresh content is always good!
When rolling out panda other modifications to the algorithms were made too.
Did you overoptimize your anchor text? If yes, build more brand links!

It depends on WHY you think your site got hit by Panda. If it was because your content was spun or low quality, get rid of that content and replace it with original and handwritten content of decent quality.
If it was because you were aggressively building crappy links, keep the content and site and continue building links at a steady rate. Focus on link diversity and natural growth rather than just numbers.
 
start a new domain, stay away from spammy backlinks PERIOD. do ONLY whitehat.
