Our family hotel is the oldest hotel of a popular holiday destination in Germany, I'm using the spare time through the pandemic to improve our online presence (redesigning our website, yt videos, Instagram etc.)
As our building is one of the main photo motives of the town and historically important there's quite some content regarding our hotel on the Wikipedia site of our town and I was thinking about creating a separate Wikipedia page just for our hotel and then link to our site a few times. I could obviously link to the home page but also our history page or to our gallery.
However, I'm a bit worried that the Wikipedia site will outrank our own website when people search for our brand name or hide our gmb at the right side of the search results.
Preferably I'd like the Wikipedia site to rank second or third after our website but I can obviously not control that.
What's your opinion on it? Good idea to create an article or not?
