Possible Final Letter- Feel like quitting today ;(

I wonder why nobody has mention it yet. But where you failed is relying on ONE WEBSITE. No matter what you do, some sites never kick off until months or years letter. Build atleast three website and concentrate on building different linking. I manually rank my keywords... Never give up on Life.....

Yes, 1 web site is ridiculous. I mentioned it in a round-a-bout way by saying you should be doing multiple methods.

I personally would recommend 10+ methods at once. A lot of stuff is a waiting game like uploading torrents, uploading videos etc and the main goal is to gain experience, learn what works and tweak stuff.

Even just sticking with SEO I'd go for 5-10 sites. Not micro niche sites either but mini-authority sites. You can do 5 articles a day for the first 2 weeks to get them going then just add 1-2 articles per week to each site while working on other methods from the forum and getting a few backlinks but if your budget is low you should be aiming for easy niches.

I've not done much SEO in a long time but by the looks of things now plenty of unique content is more powerful than ever, especially in lower competition niches. Content + just a few backlinks here and there.

The main mistake that people make really is that they start off from a place where they aren't happy. That doesn't work. If you feel you need to succeed before you're happy then you'll never succeed.

If ernie gives up then what's he going to do? Spend his free time watching tv, browsing the web, having the odd night out..

All you do is set a routine for yourself that includes A) your day job. B) time for your own business C) some free time to relax.

Once you've done that just enjoy it. Get in shape, eat well(paleo is great), get out and get some fresh air, find a new hobby.. Start enjoying life NOW and treat this as a 5-10 year ever-evolving plan.

Right now ernie, and most others that are failing are unhappy and starting from the place where they'll start living life once they make money. Look at a lot of the people who have succeeded. None of them strike me as people who started off unhappy.

Find stuff that makes you happy, strike a balance and start living life today. :-) Saying you're going to quit is just going from 1 extreme to the other and you will yo-yo in life constantly being swept up and down by the waves of circumstance. Build yourself a boat, get on it and start your journey to the destination you choose.(lol @ the analogy-fest)

I'd like to personally thank everyone for the advice, pep talks, knowledge, wisdom, and slaps from wet stinky fish. I'm just having a really bad day, broke, with no success. I went outside, got some fresh air, kicked a few rocks, gaucked at the wealthy people, and now I'm back at my desk. It's funny how easily it is to swindle people, lie, or cheat people out of money, and easy those ideas come to mind. I'm trying to do this IM stuff also so that its legal and safe with no bad karma chasing my ass. I just dont have the ideas because its not something Ive done before. A lot of people have said it already, I am still learning. But I have put in my time, countless hours of my free time and energy, day in and day out. I said I havent made a dime and it wasnt impressive enough to even list. A mere 172$ that I cannot replicate because it was from ad traffic. Ive been working hard at the free traffic, Ive encoutered numerous other obstacles which I've bypassed, but now Im at a wall.

Thanks again... I feel the love.. lol.

You've only had one site that you've worked part time for 6 months, lol. Most people I know didn't make any money on their first year never mind first 6 months.

Don't worry about 'legal and safe'. There isn't really much illegal stuff on bhw and unless you start doing $2k/day+ you're unlikely to attract any attention anyway.

I guess I just got caught up on this one site and got frustrated since it isnt where I expected to be after all this time and hard work. Thats why I mentioned the importance of learning more techniques from respected successful members/people. I'll keep trying but if it's been six, seven, or 8 months now. Honestly I've lost track of how much time Ive spent doing this. I do it everyday. I really feel like I'm not succeeding if I cant bring in a weekly income of atleast 2.00 a week. Anything would be nice. What I'm going to do is just leave this one site alone and focus on some new projects. I have other domains. Ill see what I can conjur up. If anyone needs an apprentice who works hard and follows instruction. Please dont hesitate to PM me.

Uh oh.. Expectation :-) Remember what I said about it.. It never leads to anything good.

95% of what you need to learn you'll learn from your own experience. You only use methods here as a start.

You're just creating mental barriers out of thin air.

"If I don't bring in $2/week I'm not succeeding"

Delete that from your existence. That and other statements like it are holding you back.

You need to remove ALL expectation. Try it. If you have no expectation that means you have no stress/worry/feeling of failure.

You have your goal and that's it. I'd set a goal at $1k/mo for starters but don't assign expectation to it, ie, no time frames, no constraints on how it should be made. Just that one single goal.

From there you just have fun, set a routine, take notes, try everything, tweak everything, learn from everything. It might take you 2 years, it might take you 2 months. Who knows, who cares if you're living and having fun right now though. Life starts now, bro, not when you have money.

You didn't happen to read my book, did you? That's some great advice right there. :) *hands BlueTurtle a cookie*

Um, find a problem that nobody has solved yet and figure out a way to solve it. Make a product.

Building websites, content farming, ranking for keywords and monetizing that traffic can be a long and difficult process and may not always pan out.

"Making money online" can be a lot more than just building websites. I have always made the most money from applications and products that I have built.

Learn to do better market research. Learn to better strategize. Don't just dive headfirst into attempting to build a website - it might not be worth your time.

Also, I've had around 3-4 failed businesses before I've had successful ones. Failures have aided me by strengthening my business knowledge and teaching me about some of the more important aspects of business that I had not yet come to grasp.

Giving up should not be an option for you. 9-5s are wage slavery, and nothing more.

Yeah.. The key thing for people to remember is that business is a lifestyle choice. It's a way of life and something you decide you're going to do for the rest of your life or at least until you have enough to retire.

To be successful you have to separate yourself from the get rich quick market which just want success asap. Generally people choose a career because they enjoy that career. Business is no different and you have to enjoy the business to be successful in it.

Just keep doing what ur doing... take a breather. Like you said "It's funny how easily it is to swindle people, lie, or cheat people out of money" this is the way the rich get richer but corrupting their soul and not enjoying it. We are in a cyber jungle and sometimes need to resources to dark methods only to take us back to the right track.

This sites is probably ranking big time but I had ppl paying and there just skeaming bad... there promoting our methods and making $47 on registering; then @195 on website thats crap and then on link builders that are outdated. (w w w dot starupfreedom dot com / sitemap dot xml. How they do it; skeaming.. any other method will promote the big companies and make them more money. As a community we need to keep growing and create our own site and promote products on our sites. I said it before. Keep on your path and remember yin yan. The balance of everything is key; dark / light, good / evil.

The only way to truly fail in IM is to not analyze what you did that was ineffective in the past and remain on the same unsuccessful path. Once you become results driven, by measuring and identifying effective IM techniques, all of the advice, services and other distractions will disappear allowing you to become focused. For some it happens quickly and for others it takes time. But once the light switch is flipped on, you will see even algorithmic setbacks in a positive light.

Best of success to everyone here that works hard to use their skills to feed their families and to do good elsewhere.

So, you actually do have a method that brings results. Advertising in the big networks can be rather very cheap for blackhats, so why did you not scale it?

I might get some flack for saying this, but:

The surefire way to long term success in IM is the ability to recognise what makes; and the ability to build, a good website. Basically understanding the market.

Forget about noob focused services helping you out, and start by learning HTML and go from there.

I feel you bro. But don't give up. Learn from your mistakes and move on with more experience. I'm not the best person to say this as I just started IM a couple of months back too, but don't give up.
