i dont know about in the US. but here in the uk when a local police force is getting short of money they put up more road speed cameras or at least thats how it seems.
at a national level they are sifting through all our browser histories so im sure they'll find a way to create revenue some how.
TBH i very much doubt weed will be legalized over here anyway - most of this country is already a zombified drone thanks to the tabloid papers so theres no need.

Including marijuana legalization and self driving cars reducing tickets and insurance I really thing that the gov will be moving towards other illicit drugs/dui, prositution, and maybe even theft.

They already go after those things.
with DUI also self driving cars can lower that, plus uber and other services are already getting more popular
Prostitutes are generally broke(They don't really go after escorts since they have money and lawyers and they even can get a license) so its a waste of time.
Theft since it involves the taking of other people's property items bought from the proceeds of selling stolen items would have be sold at auction only to have the majority of it going to victims and not the police.

Yes I am aware of that but what I was trying to say is that they will increase fines, less leniency/increased minimum sentencing to over compensate, Doubling their task force to address these crimes to tackle these issues. The prisons will still have about the same population just with different offenders.

Its not about the prisons and putting people in prison, its about being able to to generate revenue for the police departments/sheriffs department after they lose a big source of revenue.

I'm curious.. what does a pack of cigarettes cost in the UK on average? It costs 5-6€ here in germany.
I don't think weed will be legalized here in the next 5 years anyway..

We are only allowed 17 or 18 in a box by law and 10 boxs are tacken off shelfs soon
The only place we can smoke is on the heighway or out side a pub or in your own home.
If you got friends in a car and they dont smoke beleve it or not it going to be illegal to smoke while they dont lol

This aprill the goverment thinking to set the price to £15 each 20 box of fags.
I loved smooking it was nice, but afther a real problam i gave up,
I was going to the shop and i felt i could not breath and suddenly fainted , i woke up in hospital , the fags burt back of my throat and inflamed my throat ,so i could not breve ,so i gave up, took loads of patches but afther 8 months was ok , i have been 4 years non smooker , but i do miss them, but remembering
The accedent i dont turn back....
I smooked around 40 to 60 a day easly , know i just pile the weight on , i guess the fags kept me from eating shit all day.
5 years ago the fags was only £4 for 20 .....
i don't even look at the fags behide the shop counter no more , but my son smokes and his lady smokes and his mum smokes, so sometimes i treat them to a pack or two ....
All i no is they where moaning that there fags come in a 20 box, but only have 17 fags in.

That is only if they don't find another thing to use instead of drugs. I think the adult content shakedown because of lack of 2257 information is probably the most likely. Who is really going to fight it in public, if you fight it, you will just be labeled a pedophile sympathizer and no one would want to be around you anymore
Considering that porn has been found to be legal and a constitutional expression of free speech under the US Constitution, it might be a bit of an uphill climb.
