Pop traffic - Testing high volume offers

Many advertisers are complaining now about not making anymore profits as they used to on pop traffic. I dont think it got harder, just different. This is happening maybe because of the competition getting bigger, but also more and more offer networks are requesting landing page approval to promote the offer, so we can’t go as aggressive with the offer promotion as we used to.

I have a lot of traffic in Popads and Popcash, so i’m going to gather some information on what ads are running in their respective biggest sites, and which is doing most of the volume, so i can try to run something myself.

The simplest way to find some of the best converting offers is spying what other advertisers are already promoting. For that im scanning with a VPN (HideMyAss) and a mobile useragent, with livehttp headers active, all the major sites in the country im interested. In this case is Vietnam.

After an hour of research in the major sites in Vietnam, the first offer i found is an antivirus ad (Virus Defender) from Yeahmobi, promoted with a google alert landing page.




The ad is running mostly on iOS.

I will start building this campaign, first thing scraping the lander, and setting that up in my tracking system (Funnel Flux), and creating the campaign on PopAds and Popcash:

In the first couple of hours the ad already made some conversions in Popads and also in Popcash. After some strict optimization on placements and connections, the offer has high chances to get profitable on the first day running.

Thank you for sharing. Pop traffic is one of the best choice but it's changing very fast. Because of high competition bids are getting higher and higher even tier 2, tier 3 countries. They are kind of none-targeting traffic, we have to work harder to make money.
