I am fortunate enough to live in a country where the limits of contaminants in tap water are more strictly controlled than those of mineral water. For example, you can use the tap water for a baby without filtering it again! The tap water here is better than bottled water, especially if the bottles are made of plastic. Nevertheless, people buy water in bottles, which is 10 times more expensive and must be brought home.

Fluoride is a trace element found throughout the environment. So also in the drinking water. Fluoride is not vital to humans. On the other hand, too much fluoride can become a health risk.
In small amounts, fluoride can help prevent tooth decay. It can be small enamel repair damage that occurs after acidic meals. At the same time it inhibits the growth of acid-forming bacteria in the mouth. High levels of fluoride uptake in childhood can lead to tooth enamel changes (tooth fluorosis). Too high Fluoride uptake over several decades can result in increased bone fragility and joint changes. After extremely high fluoride uptake over several months Kidney damage can occur.
The daily fluoride intake of the population in my country is low. A danger, about Drinking water - by which no mineral water is meant - to take up too much fluoride does not exist here.
Because fluoride occurs naturally in the environment, it is also contained in the water. Seawater contains e.g. around 1 mg fluoride per liter. Here, the fluoride content of drinking water is generally low (more than 90% of drinking water contains less than 0.3 mg fluoride per liter). Fluoride levels may vary regionally. The responsible health authorities or state authorities can provide information about the regional fluoride content in drinking water.
There are areas of the world with very high levels of fluoride in the water depending on volcanic activity and geological features. Drinking water with fluoride contents of more than 4 mg per liter have e.g. China and India have suffered health problems involving bones and teeth.

It depends so much on where you live, whether you have something to consider or not.

Well that is a load of bullshit, I have a bachelor in biochemistry and is currently taking a master in it too and can say that what you are spewing aren't true. Like it is true that distilled water is safe to drink. But distilled water has neither a negative or positve charge, it is neutral. Secondly most of the times what we need are the inorganic and they can both negative charged and positive charged.

Also fluoridation it is done essentially to prevent tooth decay, and only 5.7% of people in the WORLD are supplied water that has been artifically fluoridated. Also plants also have fluorides in them, so think you have to boycot vegetables.

I can keep poking holes in what you are saying, but don't want to since I have better things to do, essentially what you are saying is a big steaming heap of bullshit.

You are probably right about the charge thing. The point is that you don't need minerals from water. It's irrelevant compared to what you get from your diet.

Other than that, I respect that what you have been told oppose my opinion. You can blindly trust your government on made up statistics and other false doctrines which they call "science", but next time you could call me out nicer.

EDIT:
What do you think about this article?

I never said it is needed. Just what you said was false and therfore equvailent of bullshit ;)

I have been told? by who?

Never said I blindly trust goverment, did I? Also are you saying we dont need inorganic minerals? And are you saying science is fabricated?

Wait is this the critical thinking non-fluoridated water gives you? Cause here is the critical thinking from a fluoridated water drinker.

The article is written on a webshop that sells nutrition, so this was proprably cause they needed some content. Secondly the article is mainly based on 2 articles from Pure Water Inc, who sells water distillers, so they have a incitament to sell it, to talk positive about it. So how reliable is the info?

Furthermore the author is member of AAMA Board Certified Alternative Medicine Practitioner, Alternative Medicine aint scientifically sound, if it worked it would be called medicine, so not trustworthy. Also you might think he is relevant since he has a Ph.D., but he Ph.D. is in Holistic Nutrition, holistic ain't scientific either, also futher more he got it from American Holistic College of Nutrition, which is not a educational accredited instution, which means his Ph.D. is probably worthless, since there isn't any external quality control, also the College has quite alot of controversy around it, futher making it unreliable. So all in all, I think the article is not good.

I prefer coke than water
Too bad, coke is expensive in my country.

When I lived in London with my Scottish partner she refused to drink tap water because apparently it didn’t taste the same as the tap water in Scotland (which no doubt comes direct from a highland spring).

Personally though I like tap water. Never heard of distilled water.

The facts are very simple: THE ONLY WATER YOU SHOULD DRINK, IS WATER THAT IS JUST WATER. THAT IS DISTILLED WATER.

Profit based ideas:

-distilled water doesn't have the minerals you need. EVEN A SEMI-HEALTHY DIET PROVIDES MORE THAN ENOUGH OF THESE MINERALS.

-filtered water is better for you than distilled. FILTERING ONLY GETS OUT A PORTION OF ALL THE HARMFUL CRAP IN TAP WATER.

-we need fluoride in our water. FLUORIDE IS A TOXIC POISON! IF WE REALLY NEED IT, LET PEOPLE POISON THEMSELVES WITH COMMERCIAL TOOTHPASTE.

Big Oil, the Chemical Companies, and Pharmaceutical companies use lobbyists and media to keep public awareness low of the toxic effects of their products. Yes, this sounds like conspiracy theory stuff, that's what they would like you to believe. The internet has opened up millions of communication channels that can't be filtered.

For a lot of people, and taking from Al Gore, it is "an inconvenient truth", something that some people don't feel they need to care about.

Those are the people I would like to have life insurance on.

who the fuck caress i just drink tap water, bottle watter, all kind of water

Tap water.

Would love to drink Evian only - but since I drink up to 4 ltrs per day it won't be financially viable for me :(

Now here is some good water!

Dilly-Dilly!
