For those of you using Medium, you might find the below useful/interesting in case you've missed it.....

Hello,

We are writing to notify you of policy updates that may impact your participation in the Medium Partner Program.

Medium is for human storytelling, not AI-generated writing. We recently defined and clarified our specific policies around the different uses of AI-generated content and technologies, and what is allowed in the Medium Partner Program. You can read those policies in our Help Center.

Beginning May 1, 2024, stories with AI-generated writing (disclosed as such or not) are not allowed to be paywalled as part of our Partner Program.

Accounts that have fully AI-generated writing behind the paywall may have those stories removed from the paywall, and/or have their Partner Program enrollment revoked.

Please remove all AI-generated writing from behind the paywall by May 1st to remain compliant with this policy, and stay active in the Partner Program. We define AI-generated writing as writing where the majority of the content has been created by an AI-writing program with little or no edits, improvements, fact-checking, or changes. This does not include AI writing tools such as AI outlining, or AI assisted fact, spelling, or grammar checkers.

Additionally, stories with AI-generated writing will also have the following distribution restrictions:

  • AI-generated writing that is disclosed as such and is not behind the paywall is eligible for General Distribution, but it is not eligible for Boost distribution.

  • Undisclosed AI-generated writing will be given Network Only distribution. This means it is distributed to the author’s direct network of followers and subscribers only. It is not eligible for wider distribution.

  • AI-generated images must include captioning identifying them as such.

There are also new policies for AI content used for abusive or illegal purposes. We encourage you to read the FAQ and the AI policies in full, and reach out to us with any questions via our Help Center.

Thank you,
The Medium Partner Program

I have written the same official statement and i be like it really okay as per there statement and rules in terms of AI-generated content for Medium Partner Program

Finally! Less $3 per day journeys. Maybe finally these people will do something more long term instead of just getting low quality traffic off Medium AI garbage.

Ai generated content was not even ranking on G anyway, bye bye Medium!

They started closing accounts a few months ago without any reason. They were closing accounts a day or two before payment. Many old writers complained about having their accounts revoked from payment without any explanation. Some crooks, charlatans to steal people's work. Now they have AI cover to give no explanation.Beware of MEDIUM as much as you can.

This is Reddit level website. Just use them for spam!

end of medium as a parasite with AI content. But it's good they are very clear and precise with their policy update.
good free alternatives where you can put good AI content on to get seo ranking and additional free traffic?

So long as you not use their payment wall, their partner program, then you can use AI says their policies. But with that you need a disclosure , but you can keep it subtle like: "my content here is written with some help of AI for research and title ideas"
I don't know if medium will kick you out when you don't have that disclosure. Medium is a bad choise to make money with their slavery penny payments , make sense? You can use it to drive organic traffic to your website or for EEAT, have a portfolio and your social profiles on your about me page-make sense ?

Medium alternative in my mind would be: bizsugar, when you are in the b2b sector, or maybe better: business communities
, NewsBreak, Substack, Business2Community and AllBusiness (medium alternatives ?), your own quora space, when you know how doing it.

Why you people like it to be treated as slave to make money with pennies on adsense, or that medium program or any other pennies payout programs? Build your own site, your own business, your own rules, your own services /retainer and your own payment rules. Affiliate programs the same shit: waiting three months then you get payout, the first payout you need to have multiple different customers who bought the product you offer, etc,etc......

Happy Weekend !
