I have played around with POF and just can't seem to find a winning combination. I have about $75.00 sitting in my account and don't want to run through it not quite knowing what I'm doing. Heck, breaking even would be fine. At least I'd know I'm doing something somewhat right. Can anyone suggest a guide on this? I ran across something a few days ago on the WSO's and can't seem to find it now...Thanks

Can you clarify what term you mean by POF? I seem to have it in my head that its Plenty Of Fish but im a bit lost with the $75 in your account lol. :P

Yea...it's plenty of fish. I have $75.00 of ad spend left in my account and want to use it with a bit more understanding on putting together some ads.

POF can be awesome if you work it right. For starters, make sure and mess around with their demographic research tool. It can help you really narrow down / define your potential audience.

Then you need to run a ton of split-tests with both demographics and ads. You cannot skip this part. Demographics that are too broad will be losers.

Ideally you'd use a POF ad spinner of some kind here (I've created my own for my use). But you need to create ads for a bunch of pretty narrow demographic slices and track the heck out of your results.

The really cool thing is with POF (like FB) is that when you find a winner it can really take off. But when you start slicing up the demographics you'll quickly see why most campaigns are losers. It's because the demographics don't match.

Also, I've never had a ton of success dumping clicks to anything long-form. Lead captures, squeezes, proofs, and other bridges will typically work best. But test and track for your situation.

Hey thanks much for the info. I have used demo's to try to really target deep and still haven't found much success. I'm sure it could be the offer and ad copy just didnt work, and I really do need to track better.
