POF account creation

My account at POF closed after a few hours, but the account I had with OA lasted for about a week. I think OA is much better, and triple the traffic too. If a bot was made for OA, I would be interested.

I've used POF to find my GF. So I have extensive experience from the user's end and the number one problem you'll have is that nearly 100% of the spam mails you'll send will get reported and you'll get instantly banned. POF is good at that. I was there like 6 months and got like 2 spam mail the entire time. To say the least, POF has very little spam going on.
 
Then I want an account on Overeaters Anonymous too! :) :) :)

When i register an account manually, it redirects me to registration page again and it prompts me to enter captcha(All other details entered are still in the fields). If i fill captcha and try again, still it does the same thing. Wtf ?!
 
@XTR3M3 XPL01T3R - yeah, one of the other things that Markus does, is not make it obvious you have been banned. He keeps giving you the captcha over and over again but you won't get in.

I have a gut feeling that more than 1 website/social network/etc uses the MAC address to identify a user: but my feeling is that it isn't done via the network per-say. I wish I still had the hardware to verify this myself (I had 32 VMs available to me previously): consider this a challenge for a one-off test ! ...

The dating sites and other social networks have lots of fine print in their agreements that few people, if any, actually read carefully: usually there is a clause that includes verifying identity or confirmation via email or cookies etc. Has anyone analyzed the data stream used when you signup to see if the MAC data is obtained through the browser?

OR . to test another way..

Setup multiple accounts on private IP proxies, all proxies being geolocated in widely differentiated geographic locations, and using different geolocation enabled browsers and CPU-IDs & OSes, etc to be as different as possible but all accounts are on the same MAC, (ie do this in VM farm but specify same MAC in all setups == means you can only use 1 VM at a time due to same MAC) and then see how quickly you reach a ban if you log-in sequentially from NYC, LA, Chicago and Dallas in a loop with the accounts setup in those cities.

If anyone can make a definitive test procedure, or would like to discuss, PM me. I would be extremely interested in seeing the results.

Just tried my proxies and method that normally work with CL to create POF. Spend 1 hour on that one.
Guess what?! Every time I notice messages like my password is too short, Username contains some symbols and other stuff, which is obviously all great from my side.
So, it's a proxy thing. You gotta hustle to find a great one
 
Interesting, yeah I've been banned by the site, so I might just get a number of dedicated IPs assigned to my acc from the server admins and use them as proxies, cost almost the same as proxies anyway and as said before - they will last for much longer and I can use them with other things!

As for what they track - they don't track mac addr, at least not through JS, and the only way they can get any of the mac addr details is through pinging, but then they will only get the closes link in the network from their end(a switch probably) so they would not gain much. Other details such as CPU id would have to come through something like JAVA for which you have to give a permission - so that wouldn't work. Flash perhaps? Could be, but as my test bot is running through CURL, they can't do much.

The error messages are very confusing, which is silly however the field names changes are just stupid, he changes the field names and sometimes even alters DOM like table structure so it's hard to break the table apart and pick up which of the items have the input fields in them.. simple solution, look at the JS validation because that has all the field names and just match it by the error message, here's an example!

Don't you think the first few messages you receive, are from them? I think they are checking the reactions and the replies - that should be the first filter?

This is my first post here, havent had much time to go around the goodies.

I have some experience with POF, have an autoresponder with profiles done in c#.

MAC ? No they currently have no mac verification.
Proxy ? I have been able to use the autoresponder with proxies without a single issue on multiple accounts. (make sure its a private proxy is fully anon and clear)

Their captcha is indeed a good approach which may prevent the use of death by captcha but as usual it is possible to bypass.

I also believe on what people have said here previously, that they actually verify if you are a bot or not based on the questionnaries at the registration and at managing your replies, afaik they don't have spies to see what you're replying like but if you do things like replying to 100 people in a second ofc they will most likely flag you for inspection.

My application allows you to make replies templates where random dots are introduced within the text to make it untraceable which seemed to work so far.

talk about mac address here i will tell the truth. your browser, html, JS, php, asp, flash, java cannot read mac address it only read IP and cookies and you should be aware that flash cookies cannot be deleted via browser you can delete it only in "control panel" so before register POF it better you disable flash plugin rather than delete the flash cookies.

*please give reference url if i'm wrong.
 
In fact YOU CAN get the MAC using signed JS or java applet as you get high privileges which allows you do that, they are not easy to deal with anyway.

Using a browserless bot you won't have flash nor JS nor JAVA unless you create/add modules to deal with it at some point.
