So i've been reading a fair bit about POF and a lot of people seem to be after POF accounts and no one is making them, being a programmer I've decided to give it a go(even tho I've only started learning C# about 7 hours ago, but I am 'fluent' in web based languages such as PHP already).

My question would be - is there an obvious reason why people are not making a bot for this that I'm missing? As I've read about it's potentials and they seems rather huge. If anyone is currently working with POF and would be interested in teaming up and scaling up - drop me a PM with your skype I'd be interested to hear from you!

AS for captcha, it's interesting but doesn't look that hard to solve in my opinion!

The reason is because POF actually has a pretty good spam filter for creating accounts, you'll have to dwell much deeper then just filling out the form and using proxies.

I read something somewhere about how POF checks you when you are creating an account. It said that somehow it verifies such things as your IP, computer name, browser, OS and the directory from where you upload your pictures. It uses an algorithm to calculate similarities. Lately I was also thinking that somehow they do MAC address check as well. It appears to be very detailed. But if a bot could be created that could manipulate all these factors I think it would be a profitable venture indeed.

I've been successfully making durable POFs for several clients lately, though I had to stop because they caught on to my home system and seem to have banned it. The key is to use different dedicated PCs, IPs, and browsers, and to keep the created accounts down to 1-2 per IP a day. That means making a maximum of only 5-10 per day (as it's time intensive to get past all its filters).
 
Super long registration with many many fields. Unique captcha. They are really good at sniffing out proxies. And if I remember correctly the names of some of the form fields change, try looking at them and reloading the page a few times this may not still be the case.
 
Cause you have a big profile setup to do and some questions are almost the same to verify you didn't add bullshit so if you answer on question #12

This. For how incredibly crappy their website design, layout, et al is, their spam filters are actually really good and they do a good job at catching bogus accounts.
 
Hmm, thanks for all the comments guys, would be interested in hearing from people that have been working with POV, perhaps even manually and take that process to a whole new level with automation. I registered an account and within 2 mins I had 14 messages.. Christ those guys on there are horny!

Captcha should not be a problem at all to be honest, it's different but doable!

IPs - Get some decent proxies so they can't sniff it out!

Mac Addr - Could probably implement a changer so that it changes all the time.

Browser - Well not hard to change or spoof that.

One question I've got in mind is how to monetize this correctly tho, I can overcome most of the stuff that is in registration, but making most out of each account will be where the work will really begin!
 
POF is the hardest ever. Did you try to make accounts manually? Try it and see how many you can make.
 
POF is brutal on stopping bots and spamming, maybe because the owner of POF has a background in spamming and knows the mentality very well. I have played with a bots on POF and none ever lasted longer than a couple of days. Manual creation from different IP's and machines is rather hit or miss also.

Good luck. If u can create an automated anything that can last a week or two, you'll definitely make good bucks with about any dating/webcam offer. The monetization isn't as hard as getting some accounts that stay alive because POF doesn't waste time killing accts for spam.
 
What you need is a good stream of accounts. For monetizing - i was spamming non stop and was at 10-20$ per hour before all the accounts die off. If you can keep it up and make new ones all the time, you are golden. It is possible, but it's also a big hustle to go through.
 
i header all this as well about pof account creation problem :)
but lucky i have find some ways to make the accounts stay for 5 hours to 24 hours :)

and yeah pof is sometime bitch ;) but traffic is gold
 
So you're saying their updating their registration page all the time? Editing a bot is not hard when you actually own it, I'm pretty sure I could chop something up using C# or maybe even CURL/PHP. Process the data and if the fields get changed around the place it won't be any trouble, if IDs get changed - more advanced code is needed that's all.

So is no one actually using it as a constant stream of income due to the fact of them being tight? Anyone use other dating sites that would need automation? :D Was doing findloveasia ( . ) com few months back but sometimes their slow in catching bots, sometimes almost instant.. Gets annoying, but made about 100$ in about half an hour, however the network flipped because no one actually bought properly
 
How come twitter and facebook don't use the same detection? I don't think they can be that advanced in detection

Believe it. Let's say at least that POF is a helluva lot more aggressive than either Twitter or FB about halting spam the moment it is complained about as well as blackholing any proxies it can detect.
 
Hmmm, idk, seems a bit over the top for me still, i've been doing a lot of my server to their server requests today and haven't been blocked yet, so don't seem that good..

Also already overcome the captcha, solving it in seconds on auto

But seriously, there are way better ways to make money online instead of looking at someone's dicks...

You can even promote dating offers on way better way...
 
Hey mate, I would imagine there are POF bots out there but no one releases them to the public because apparently that bloke likes to sue. So as much as I would love a copy of your bot, don't release it. Keep it to yourself.

If you wanted to team up, I would be interested. I am in Australia if that is an advantage.
