I was just flagged for no reason for "PM spam"

On average this month I have send about 0.6 PMs per day. How on earth does this constitute SPAM?

This could be some sort of vendetta childish bullshit because I had an argument with someone in PMs, and he just made the mods or his friends, give me a warning. That is my only logical explanation.

Either way it is unprofessional and below the expectations of quality and standards for this forum.

    Ridiculous.

I'm sure you had a private conversation with the Mod who gave you the warning to get a clearer picture of your violation, didn't you?

To clarify, the argument I had was not with a moderator, just some random member.

I had this SAME PROBLEM and mods or the email person could not really give me a straight answer so I will help here:
You can not message anyone outside of the Main Forums down to Ungagged SEO - so no message or posting in Marketplace or Making Money (to be safe but definitely not Hire a Freelancer).
Most catagories on the column have a who can post if there are restrictions as a stickie on top.

Once you get 6 months and 100 posts you can message anyone and post on your own thread in Hire/Making Money - you still have to pay to for Marketplace posts no matter who you are but you can respond and message people and post on your thread (you can not however bump your own thread more then once a week I believe).

It is a pain and they try to clear it up for newbies but the rules change or there are different areas of the site that make it confusing. The problem for newbies is others can report you and if you are not a regular member (100 posts 6 months) then you will get minus points automatically. You can talk to the mod or email and they may put those points back as a one time courtesy if they see you are not spamming, etc.

It does keep the integrity of a site and forum system that supports "fringe" SEO practices which tend to attract the worst type of people in SEO and so they have to be strict. Just be nice and do not try to get anything done in a week it is not going to happen for you. Build your profile up over 30 days and buy the JR VIP if you want to do accelerate things but shorter then that you are bound to get in trouble.

Also once you start to use these forums a bit more you will see what I mean about some sketchy characters and those poor mods have to deal with those people so their fuse is understandably a bit short already so be nice ask nice and explain. They will see quickly you are not using Google Translator from a VPN in South Africa ...

There's a report button in PMs too, so if you were out of line or whatever, then the member must have reported the PM.
There a Mod is notified automatically and can review things.

    Lesson learned, fella ?

People that don't break rules don't usually have these issues, weird.

Reply to the warning PM and ask exactly what it was you did wrong in a professional and respectful manner, I'm sure they will be happy to explain.
