I'm not sure if this is the right place to discuss this or if this topic should be discussed at all cause how to reply is up to everybody on his own but....

Lately I came across many questions that have been asked in public and a lot of times the replier only wrote something like PM Sent.

While this is totally appropriate in some cases (e.g. information shouldn't be publicly accessible) I would love to see more people share the answer to the public.

What about you guys?

Also if you want to include someone in the discussion, you can write @username to notify him of the thread or the question asked. While a lot of people already know this, this is a neat feature that helps people to get or give proper answers sometimes.

Just my 2 cents

Every time I’m trying to be serious... damn it’s the same thing here like it’s happening with the girls. Happens all the time ;)

One more bump... Because it happens all the time ;-)

I've noticed that too. I see a lot of things discussed in shorthands and broad terms, and, when anything actually specific or mechanical comes up its "PM me" or "PM sent".

Its hard to describe, but, its like everyone feels like they are taking a risk on freely sharing information as they instead want to devise a plan that will profit off them.

This kind of motive would make sense considering the demographic, but, sometimes it gets annoying/frustrating that you notice that no one wants to explain anything ever.

"No one wants to explain anything ever.."....nahh thats not true. One thing to consider: Valuable and powerful things are always hidden. To get them, you must do something more than the average Joe. Crude Oil, Gold, Pearls...you name it....a "price" has to be paid to obtain them

Thats true, for a solid nugget you usually have to dig deep but to me a lot of this "p.m. sent" information has nothing to do with top secret info.

Staff try to encourage people to reply in the threads in question for 2 reasons.
1. The information is there for others to benefit from.
2. It deters a minority who then try to sell via PMs, thus often ending up scamming the buyer.

It all too often goes to someone trying to violate the ToS put in place by those that create the rules unfortunately.

More often than not it also is stuff that can be shared in public and benefit all in the community and that is kind of a bummer too.

Sending replies as a PM means that thread would be bumped a lot more by others as the same question needs to be asked over and over again.

That's the point im talking about :)

The reason's for this behaviour in sales threads should be discussed on another level (staff wise) but I also understand that bhw generates money through their offers and the interest of the seller is to make money too so...

Basically I just want the people to share their information with the community, im not gooing to rant on the sellers
