Plimus PayPal.. WTF?

BTW as others have done feel free to PM me questions if that makes you more comfortable, I'll ask any specifics you want when I e-mail out tomorrow.

Anyways was a long drive back from the holiday with the family today so its bed time but I plan on making a point of getting in touch with these guys tomorrow. Also after looking the pay weekly instead of monthly (plims was on a NET 15) so I could possibly even begin doing a little bit of testing tomorrow and we'll know before dec 9th comes along if:
1) they pay out and on time and all
2) i can give you opinion on the backend and all

Plimus turning into paypal...

Made me laugh :)

I do hate PP but from what I can tell this is something PayPal forced them into and they aren't too happy about either as they know its going to cost them a lot of business. I almost suspect the previous owners saw signs of this coming which is why they unloaded the company less than 6 months ago (after being in business since 2001) for $115 million; it is certain to do a LOT less volume after paypal payments are halted (I know I do probably 70-80% of my payments are PayPal balance and even non Internet Marketing and SEO products like iPad Torrents/Movies I promote as an affiliate are most PayPal sales). IMO the fees they charge do NOT justify the other features such as license management, newsletters, tracking and the mid sized affiliate base but the ability to accept both PayPal and MoneyBookers on all of your products without having to have them reviews like ClickBank does made it well worth the rate they were charging. To be honest I even have some affiliate that do well and love some of their options/interface but really I never would've used them if not for the PayPal ability - these other features are luxuries that can be easily managed with your own free or one time payment/custom coded solutions and are certainly not worth 10% of every transaction as far as I'm concerned unless you're doing very low overall volume/$$s where 10% is less than a few hundred bucks a year.

well seems you guys really keen on ...

why dont we just setup a bhw/online marketers merchant with escrow / control by the bhw/few forums admins ..
then have a simple coded control panel for us to chk balances and analytics...
and all this linked to http://www.payoneer.com/PayoutsWebBased.aspx
.. should be easy to code control panel like this
but this should be supported by famous guys - like famous marketers open source payment system supported by big marketers who we trust .. too good to be truth probably hehe

Some kind of alternative would be great. However payoneer is not it IMO. How long would it take to get access to all my money with an ATM withdrawl limit at a few hundred a day? I need my money in a bank account that I can draw large checks against.

^ agreed Payoneer is kinda strange. I tried to signup with them twice with different sites like Elance, Freelancer and then one more site I don't remember and all of the times I never received any card yet in India may be they hate us.

ejukie is not a payment processor its only a cart system. Your all the payments goes in the accounts like 2co or paypal etc.. they are NOT payment processor as far as I know.

You're right e-junkie is not a payment processor, just a cart (pretty useless if you have some programming knowledge IMO). Payoneer only lets you withdraw 300/day from the ATM, but you can link it to PayPal or do other online purchases with a much larger limit (which is what I do and works awesome). I'm also really upset about the whole Plimus not accepting PayPal thing, since I am banking pretty big now. I hope business doesn't suck after this.

Would appreciate that. I'm reaching out to both G2S and 2CO today about their PayPal option (and its future) as well as a couple of other questions people here PMed me about. It is the weekend but hopefully I'll be able to get ahold of someone and get some info in this thread later on today (just getting started and kind of busy so it will be a few hours).

OK, 2CO it seems doesn't really fit my business model as some of my software is considered under the broad "spamware" category which is not allowed. However, if you can apply and get accepted and be within their terms these guys really seem like the best bet at the moment IMO.

In addition I have put a message, and application, into FastSpring as they seem well regarded as one of the top 3 in this area along with Plimus and 2CO. Pending how that goes I will then contact G2S as they seem relatively new to the game.

From what I have gathered though all of these other guys are fine with PayPal still, it seems the issue was specifically with Plimus and their PayPal account they were reselling with - again most likely a lot of fraud due to lax enforcement of vendors on their end.

Dear *,

Unfortunately, our e-commerce service is not designed to work as a billing service for webmasters and for specialized services like marketing and SEO. As a reseller of software, our contracts require that we work with out-of-the-box consumer software downloads, such as software applications, e-books, an video games.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

FastSpring turned me down as well, although I don't think they looked at my application closely because their reason didn't fit. Anyways I will be contacting G2S tomorrow and since they approached me I should get accepted ;) I will let everyone know what that all looks like once I get started on it.

We are waiting for all the questions we had for g2s. I hope we all get accepted there.

Hi guys,

I'm Talia from Payoneer. Just to answer what you wrote here about us:

The withdrawal limit for Payoneer is $2,500 per day by ATM and $2,500 per day by using the card as as MasterCard online or offline. If the limit you can withdraw is $300, it's the machine/bank you use to withdraw the funds, not our withdrawal limit.

We also offer direct bank transfers all around the world, depending on the partner (Plimus specifically doesn't offer this option, however).

^ agreed Payoneer is kinda strange. I tried to signup with them twice with different sites like Elance, Freelancer and then one more site I don't remember and all of the times I never received any card yet in India may be they hate us.

Because of RBI (Reserve Bank of India) regulations from January, no company that is located outside of India cause issue MasterCards or Visas to Indian residents. This isn't our decision and isn't exclusive to Payoneer in any way. However, once this happened, we immediately began offering direct bank transfers for all Indian citizens, so you can still get paid through us, just it goes directly to your bank account. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have, or contact our support team for details.

As I mentioned above, our daily limit is $2,500 per day via ATM - all you need to do is find the ATM that will allow you to withdraw more than $200. A lot of our users will just step into the bank to make the withdrawal with the tellers and then they can withdraw a lot more.

Well even if RBI allows and you guys start processing to India it won't help us in anyway. As I don't think you guys facilitate paypal payments. We here all are looking a way to get all the payments from Paypal.

One by one: You talked about us not being able to issue in India - that was the reason. ;)

As for the rest, you can actually apply for the virtual account through Payoneer, which would allow you to withdraw funds from PayPal directly to your Payoneer card (this is what the Plimus email posted above was talking about). There's an application process, and you would need to provide us with information, but it isn't complicated.

However, specifically for you in India, you won't be able to use it since funds are loaded to the card, not sent to a bank account. We don't have a solution for that right now, but we're working on it.

I'm lil confused here. Fist you said due to RBI you are not able to process funds but now you said that for Indian you won't be able to transfer via bank but funds can still be loaded to the card. If you ain't even giving us card then where the question comes of withdrawing funds?

Also about rest of the world as you issue payments and you are suggesting to open a virtual bank account and it will be a total fail position. You provide virtual bank accounts -> paypal limits the account as usual ;) -> pplz have to show their documents where they are living and bla bla.. copies of bills , bank statements and so on.. Once they knows someone using virtual bank not the real one they will permanently block it so a total fail situation IMO.
