According to 2013 chart we have 650 million website in the world the active site are 187 million

If you just get a site today,then get ready for competition.

So this is the list of what to do

* Get money
* Buy a domain(pay for 5 years immediately) people will think you serious
* Design the site(add lot of google stuffs like google checkout,adsense,+1 button,google map)
* Submit it to the following webmaster (bing,yandex,google)
* Get it socialized(facebook,goole+1,twitter,craiglist,reddit and so on....)
* Pay for seo,i recommend godaddy webtools or attracta
* Write articles relating to your site
* Don't do auto surfing,waste of time.
* Add a clear contact page and about us and help page
* Have patient
* Again have patient
* After three month check your analytic,track which country comes most,check if google organic brings
visitor to your site then you are good to go,then your site is ok.
* Now start writing lot of contents relating to your website
* Then patient again
* After six month check analytic if visitor come from facebook,twitter and google,if yes,then start smiling
* Have patient again
* Get back-links,submit to directory.
* After 9 month just feel relax you have done the right things
* After 1 year if you already make money from your site,submit your site to cj commision junction,then boom you already on top
maybe use adword

Now what happen if you don't have patient
These are list of what you get

^ All the fake back-link will be remove by Google
^ If google find you only concern about money,then immediately expect drop on your site
a website without content is meaningless. Google might want to check why people visit your site later.

I don't think it takes 1yr to start making money on your site. I'm on my second month of running my site and I'm already making a decent amount of money. And I also did almost the exact opposite of everything you said.

You don't need 1 year to make money but your method is correct, Google is very strict now

Patience only works if you are planning to make the site into a large long-term authority site that will be there for years to come. If you are just making pump and dump affiliate sites there is no point waiting, it is just not worth it..

all those patients make me think of hospitals, lol. i agree it takes time to rank and hasty link-pounding might not work in the long-run. I like to wait a month or so before monetising, i don't think a year is necessary really.

also, what's your keyword plan? without targeted keywords, even waiting 3 years won't bring many visitors.

Lol.. I think this strategy is different from what we have been taught here. We learn to bank fast as we can. TFS though.
