I sold a Reddit sub (50K subs) for $400 (and included a Reddit account that was a Mod on the Sub and an associated Redgifs account) using the Middleman service.

The buyer paid, took control of the accounts and marked everything as satisfied by 6th December 2023.
The estimated time for funds to be disbursed was 24-144 hours, the funds never arrived.

I waited and waited, then contacted support, then another 'pending cashout' conversation was opened, on the 28th December 2023 with an estimated time for funds to be disbursed in 1-96 hours, the funds never arrived.

I have contacted support multiple times and requested my payment, or at least an update on when I should expect it, but SIX weeks later I have not received a penny. I told them the money needed to be in my account by midnight GMT on 15th Jan, 2023 or I would start sharing on every forum and review site what a shitty site PlayerUp.com really is, so here it is ;)

****Update - They finally paid.

Bonjour,
Les seuls avis positifs concernent les acheteurs qui envoient de l’argent sur la plateforme et les faux profils.
Seulement 5 % des vendeurs voient leur argent ou leurs montants inférieurs à 10 $ et même dans ce cas, pas toujours.

Just thought I would give an update now as enough time has passed that PlayerUp can't do a PayPal reversal and to save others from getting scammed.

I still stand by my original post title 'PlayerUp.com MiddleMan Service is a Total Scam!.

Short version is I sold a subreddit on there using a 'middleman' service which is like Escrow which seemed to provide protection for both seller and buyer. I believe the buyer was a regular genuine user, he paid the money into the PlayerUp/Escrow service, I transferred the subreddit to him and expected the funds to be released to me in a few days.

But that is when the problems and excuses started, there was always some delay, some issue, some problem, weeks passed despite a promist that funds are released after a few days. The offered me Playerup 'credit' which could be spent on the site but which were essentially wortless as no seller would accept them

I think they (PlayerUp) just hoped people would get sick of waiting and give up. I didn't and threatened to start leaving negative reviews like this one, only once I did they and sent them the links, they said they would finally send me the funds AFTER I had either deleted my negative reviews or said they had paid me.

My post on Feb 6 2024 saying they had paid the funds was untrue, but it was the only way to get my money, I'm sorry, I don't like to lie, but I was left with little choice.

This is why I'm now updating this post to try and make sure no one else risks selling a digital asseton there using the middleman service and not receiving their money.
