Play Store Downloads

Hi all

I've been lurking for a long time here and thought its time to participate in BHW since I really want to get some money on the table.

I've already tried a method in the music streaming niche that didn't go as expected (but still running) and I thought about banking slightly in the play store. Now I have a question and hope someone can answer it:

Which is the factor that decides within the play store that the download count will increase? My goal is to boost apps with my bot into trendy/charts so a lot of people will download it and see the advertisements.

From what I could find out is that a download doesn't count as such one if the ip/gmail/etc is changed - only if the Android Device ID / IMEI is gonna be another one.

I've already created a bot that uses Bluestacks as an EMU, installs an app via Play Store, runs it for a few seconds, deinstalls it and after it both, the Device ID and IMEI are changed. Unfortunately I can't test it rn with an own application but can someone tell me if this system is gonna work out?

If you'd use bot installs at Google Play - your app could be flagged (you would lose the Related Apps block and your app wont be ranked in any category/keyword rankings) so you wont gain any organic installs
So I would rather recommend to use cheap incent traffic if you want to get the cheapest installs.
And its also possible to boost an app into Top1 keyword rankings with incent installs
