Pinterest traffic way low

Anybody else see a ridiculous drop in Pinterest traffic the last couple of days? I was getting like 900 UVs a day and now I am only getting like 300-400.You would think that in the winter more people would be online.Just wondering if anybody else is experiencing this same thing.

Hmm, same here, traffic dropped a bit.
 
Glad its not just me,hopefully this passes because I rely on this traffic for my spending money.:thinking:

When you say 300-400 UV, is that click through's to your site?

I get about 10 for each pin, currently 1k followers

Yeah I use get 1800 page views and 800-900 Unique Visits on my site on a normal day,the last couple days has been brutal as my traffic has been cut in half.
 
I'm not seeing much difference in traffic, but I am seeing more and more promoted pins on the home feeds of my various accounts. Pinterest is actively tinkering with their ad feature because now promoted pins are labeled as "Picked for you" in some of my feeds. Maybe it's working and we have to seriously consider finding a niche that's not dominated by big retail brands.

Mine dropped too. Guess they are messing with they algo a bit. Can i ask how much followers you have that brings you 900 UVS?

25k-30k.Its really starting to get to me..I was averaging about 20 bucks a day with adsense/amazon and now I am getting like 5 bucks.
 
Every one losing Follower & Traffic, Whats wrong with Pinterest ?

Who knows,maybe Pinterest is turning into Facebook when it comes to advertising.Maybe they will make you start paying to show your pins to anyone. Anybody Have any Idea of whats going on? I cant believe 5 months of hard work is going to shit.
 
Pinterest has changed how many of your followers see pins you make on their homefeed. It is most likely a permanent change so that they can start making more money from their paid ads feature. If you look at high follower accounts they are getting far less repins than they used to (the same goes for group boards).

It seems that pins will only display to a capped number of people now which makes high follower accounts not as useful as they once were. You can try to pin more frequently to counter this but also run the risk of getting your account suspended.

Well shit,I really hope this is not the case.I might have to consider moving on to a new method pretty soon if this continues...wish I would have known it would happen before I put 10 hours a fucking day into this.
 
What I understand from this is that a fewer of the followers see your updates? Do you think it is a percentage? If not. Why not create many smaller accounts?
Sorry if I don't fully understand this. I have not yet done much pinterest marketing.

I guess thats what everyone is saying.The weird thing is I just recently created like 10 more accounts and have been growing them.I was expecting an increase in traffic but ended up getting less.That is another reason why I am so pissed off.
 
I'm not into Pinterest, but the past few days my traffic on other social media networks is down too. I've concluded it's because everyone is busy because of the holidays.

This is same thing happened a few days before Thanksgiving and recovered a few days after Thanksgiving. Let time pass by before you do anything that could harm your profiles. It's all a part of this business, holidays are a part of life so the consumer has less leisure time for themselves and their online lives.

Thats what I keep telling my self,i'm going to have to give it some time I guess.Thanks for the advice,I get worked up too easily you are probably right.
 
Holidays always affect my traffic sources. Especially the Christmas holidays.
