Pinterest Journey to $5000/mo

API is like saying "I'm going to automate your website.. be aware of that"
Also the amount of users in this API is really low.. so you cannot blend in the crowd

I have not heard of phantomjs, I will look at it later, thank you :)

What's your automation setup language&OS wise? You can PM me if you don't want to reveal :)
I'm interested in exploring more efficient setups than mine, yours looks like that...

nice to see this.. great . i wish you continue this in future.

great journey man... hope that all you go great !
Great journey
Thanks

Thanks!

Op, how much views you are getting through these followers?
I'm not trying to earn yet.
I'm only establishing my users at the network.

Earnings will be made in 2-3 months :)

Right now I'm earning about ~100$/mo but it's very unstable and I'm not promoting anything on purpose.
I don't count these earnings.

I'm interested too knowing his setup !!

First of all - it isn't efficient in any way, and it isn't because I don't want it to be. The computing power & electricity needed for it is really cheap, I'm not going to waste time on making it efficient.

At past I had linux-based automation. Right now I'm running a windows-based automation. I have converted it because a lot of reasons.
It's now a pythonic "jobs" script, which controls imacros using a COM object. I have written the automation on my own.

Currently it supports most of the user normal actions (following, unfollowing, commenting, etc) and proxy.
It generates logs and email them every day. Statistics are also gathered every run and put into a small database to let me analyse the process.
The automation can handle lots of users.

It also handles the uptime of the machine. Now it's 20 days up (woohoo!). When electricity goes down it emails me then it emails me again when everything is back up :)

I work at a place where I have phone nearby, so I usually checks it on lunch time using VNC.

It's working really great, and it's really cheap because it's running at my home.

I hope I answer your questions thoroughly. If you have anything that's need clarify I would be happy to assist.

Some updates:
* automation now handles 5 users. 2 users finally came back from fiverr bootstrapping. I'm going to replace that bootstrapping fiverr guy with a better one ! too much time!
* 22 more accounts were created using some guy from BHW (I would thank him later if the accounts will work properly). A nice thing - that guy have WhatsApp! it's really common here and it let me talk with him 24/7 so from now on I'm looking after freelancers with WhatsApp :)
* Total followers - a bit over 4k.
* following/followers rate - yes babe, it's about 75%!!! every 4 guys I follow 3 of them follow me back!
* I have found a local programmer for this job (I even set up a new workspace at my home for him..) but eventually I realised that freelancers are better in lot of different comparisons. So I have started a job post at odesk and I'm testing 2 programmers.
I have found out that hiring a programmer from odesk (and similar) isn't simple. I have written a small task, which I send to all the programmers. I pay them $30 for it, and if I find their work good enough I hire them. Now there are 2 guys who taking the exam right now, let's hope they are good :)
* I have bought a new chair (I don't remember if I told you). I also brought a new mouse pad :) and a new hot blanket for the winter.
* transferred my home server to a cooler location, this way I don't have a add a spare fan in case of overheating :)

Thanks!

I m just little confused here , in OP you told you have 4200 followers total in 3 accounts now you have 5 accounts but still you said you have a bit over 4000 followers. Also in 20 days of server uptime, your server have not followed anyone to get more followers? bcoz with 75% follow back ratio and 20 days of running bot you should have way more followers than 4000. And whats that fiverr bootstrapping? Cant your script create boards and pin/repin images and start following?

At the first post I combined 3 accounts together. This time I only combined the big two.
All the 5 together have something like ~4300 spreading 2500,1500,300,0,0

I'm usually checking each account separately so I have no idea what is the total count..
When I count the total I usually check only the 2 big accounts, I don't know why I check only those though..

I'm following no more than 10 people per day (usually about 5), so with %75 follow back ratio I have 4 more followers each day. 20 days means 80-120 new followers.

I'm doing it slow and safe :)

fiverr bootstrapping is taking a fresh new account and making it look like real account (create boards, repin, pin, comment, links etc). That's what makes my follow-back rate - my accounts seems real!
My script can do that, but it will be never be like a human who uses the computer and the phone together, who go thorugh the website, etc
I don't trust my script to bootstrap an account now. Maybe in future.

Thank you for your question :) I think that I will add a "daily stats summery" to the script.

EDIT: just checked stats.. one account went from 2423 to 2645 in 30 days while following went from 871 to 1100. that's 2423-2645 follow backs (222 follow backs) for 1100-871 followings (229). This is 222 follow backs for 229 followings! it's 96% follow backs!! :)
