Hey guys.

Just started out with pinterest a week ago and something still aint clear for me.

What is the amount of followers you can do hourly or daily. Some say 300 a day, some say 300 a hour so it still makes no sence to me and i don't want to risk the account i am working with.
Also, what would be the best way to follow. People who are following your followers or people who are following a board in your niche.

I pretty much automated everything with ubot btw.

Thanks but that was not quite my question. I know those limits, but i want to know how many follows/unfollows u can do in a day or hour within the safe zone.
 
In th first 10 days after account creation i followed about 3-900 people (average of 600), then i proceed to follow about 50-100 people daily.

I started unfollowing 2 days ago, unfollow every day about 900 people and until now i have no problems (account ban or something similar).
 
My custom bot is following 60 a hour for a month now. No problem or bans yet.

Yes non-stop, 24 hours a day. But every 2 days my bot crashes and it is inactive for some hours. I also unfollow people who doesn't follow me back after 2 days.

Well thats kinda what i ment. Its still unclear if the common "300" rule is for a day or a hour.

Currently i am following around 400 a day for a couple of days so maybe its a bit to soon to tell. For now it does the trick for me. Maybe ill step it up after the weekend.
 
With a new account, the first 2 weeks only follow 200 a day, then after 2 weeks is over you can follow 300 every few hours.

Been doing it like that for years and never once have I been banned.

Also if you want to avoid ban only use 1 account per IP address.

Ps I have around 20 accounts I manage manually
 
I never have trouble with following 300 people per hour. If you're doing this, and then suddenly get the error, just wait 15 seconds or so and then you can just keep going until you get to following 300 more people.

Any one know what the max of board invites is that you can send out? I sent out about 550, and then just get an error. This one isn't reset hourly, or based on the number you've sent out in the last 24 hours!

I would personally create an account that you will not use for personal use and test it out, randomly keep adding and keep track of how many you added and see when something happens. That would be the best way to see how many you can add in one day.
 
Another place to look is the "News" section of the upper right dropdown. Should give a sampling of how many follows, likes, pins, etc. that others are doing.
 
It's always wise to do a test with a dummy account to get more accurate numbers rather than using your own and possibly getting penalised.
 
I've created new accounts and gained over 1500 followers in a single day.. which equates to about 5000 people followed in a day.. usually in groups of 200-250 with a 1 hour-ish wait in between rounds... Has anyone here actually ever been banned for following people?

I emailed pinterest and asked them about having multiple accounts from 1 IP address, because I wanted to create seperate business accounts for each website I have and didn't want to run into banning issues if too many accounts were running from 1 IP address and they said multiple accounts were fine. I had mentioned having 2 currently and wanting to create 3 more.

Has anyone been banned for anything other than spamming or direct linking? I've pushed their limits hard, and hit the follow/unfollow limits a million times with my accounts and never had any banned. I've just never spammed or tried to post affiliate links or porn and I've never had a problem.
 
I have followed around 50 - 100 per day with no problems at all with my account being penalized so it may be wise to stick to something around that area.
 
I can't able to pin 50+ on one hour, while i try to pin my 51st pin it shows error.

Did you get any error while try to follow within a hour, i got a error for pinning 50+. xD
 
How do you follow 5000 people per day, in groups of 250 with a 1h wait between rounds?

250 x 24h = 6000

But, with 1h wait between rounds:

250 x 12h = 3000

So how do you follow 5000 people per day, if you can only follow 3000?
