Pinterest Discussion Thread <<<<<<<Lets Branstorm

Is it best to work with a company name or just as a regular user?

Also if your account is a regular user can you target multiple niches? ie women will be interested in cooking and clothes and shit so market for recipes and stuff in food boards and market for fashion in fashion boards? Or should we keep seperate accounts (1 account for kitchen, 1 for fashion etc..?) if that makes sense.

I am creating a facebook group to share Pinterest boards, so if you want to join then message me...........

I would love to join, unfortunately I can't send you message because I have only 3 posts. Anyway, I'm using pinterest and currently have some problems about getting followers and invitations to group boards, so you will help me a lot.

Hi, kinda new to this place as well as pinterest.

I know many of you measure traffic direct from pinterest to your website. But I want to know that, is there a way to monitor the traffic of the pinterest site itself? Ie. visit to your board, profile , no. of impression, like , repins etc in a report style?

THanks:)

yea, i'm pretty sure pinterest for business can get that done for you.
there are also some other tools on the market that might be able to get it done, just search bro.

Thank you. I will look into pinterest for businese and check out what it is.

I tried to google it for quite awhile without any luck (maybe I missed?) All of them is just talking about how to determine the website traffic from pinterest thru GA.

Once you verify your website, you'll be able to access metrics provided by Pinterest.

I set up pinblaster to repin from different accounts every 370th sec. (You are allowed to repin 100 times pr. 10 hour) - This way i can just let pinblaster run in the background repinning my niche, and i can do something else while getting 10-50 followers a day. :)

Pinterest is great for promoting physical, QUALITY products.
Especially DIY stuff.

My rules:
1. Use multiple accounts, but keep them QUALITY.
2. Steady, patiently building authority

i got ghost ban from pinterest for my 2 accounts. How can i fix it ? Do you know this guys ?

some news and tips I wanted to contribute

A site named Canva is great for making images cool on Pinterest

Pinterest is opening pay per click ads for small businesses. I am wondering where they will go on all the free marketing many companies are already doing.

Do you manually follow quality accounts in a specific niche or do you use a bot?

I saw a traveling promoted pin in a food-related search. Perhaps it'll be something along the lines of bidding on keyword searches.

I have been wanting to get back into Pinterest, I think now is a good time to do that, looking forward to some good new information on the site.

Heys guys...OP here....It's been a long time since I posted on here.I got back into the Pinterest game about 2 weeks ago and getting traffic and even made some money already.

I'm using 2 accounts with two different niches.I let both accounts age for one month then pinned 1500 - 1700 pins on 1 board on each account.I only followed the 300 limit on each account. Each account has about 40 followers.

I'm still using Blogger redirects using multiple blogs betweet 2 blogger accounts.1 blogger account for each Pinterest account. My first Pinterest account is sending about 100 - 200 hits a day to my blogs.I'm not going to touch those accounts at all.No more pins, no more following for a long time.I will let them sit for about 7 - 8 months and create 2 more Pinterest accounts "which I did 2 weeks ago" and when they are a month old, I will add 1500 pins and follow 300 people over the course of 2 weeks and let them sit.

As you see in the pic above you can make money with a good niche with very little work.I get hops everyday so why risk losing the accound by pinning more or following...As most of you know I have lost two big accounts from taking it overboard. If I would have just stopped, I would be making amazing money right now.My two old accounts were PR3 too.

But anyways, i'm playing it very safe this time and staying under the radar. We will see how it goes.

How do you find Quality pins that will surely get repinned by other people? I want to start with blogger too like OP, not in CB but in Amazon. :)

If a pin is getting alot of repins then it is very popular. If you repin the image it will get repins but only if you have pins on your board that match your niche. If your board has just random pins from many niches, you wont get any repins.

Well done OP.

For others who want to start making some money with pinterest + clickbank, but have no clue where to get started, here's a generalized method to using pinterest + clickbank:

1. Pick a niche and relevant CB product

2. Make 5-15 boards all in the niche you picked but targeting different aspects and each should have a unique name. E.g. if the niche is plantar fasciitis then the boards can be - "Plantar Fasciitis Cures", "Home Plantar Fasciitis Remedies", "Stretches For Plantar Fasciitis", "Shoes For Plantar Fasciitis", "I hate Plantar Fasciitis", "Plantar Fasciitis recovery motivation", etc...

3. Each day, pin 25-40 images you scraped from the web (some bots will do this for you) and include your website url in 25% of them. The website url will be either your cloaked affiliate link or better - a niche-relevant MNS. The latter will increase conversions and is safer.

4. Each day, re-pin 25-40 images, but make sure you delete links to other websites.

5. Each day, comment on 25-40 pins; this will help increase exposure to your account and boards, and will attract followers

6. Each day, like 25-40 pins. Most people will like you back and some will follow you.

7. Each day, follow up to 100 users. Again, most users will follow you back.

With this method, you should start making sales within 2-3 days, assuming you have picked a good-converting niche.

What is this lightpop tool?

I just want to caution everyone on one thing - use multiple accounts. I was getting tons of traffic from Pinterest before I got demolished. I was banking close to $700 per day $400 - $500 with adsense, the rest with click bank and TLV...and I'm not lying. You can see the snapshot from my Analytics. I did 1 million visitors in traffic with an average of 4 minutes per visitor and 2.55 pages per visit. Just think about that!!

The issue is Pinterest hit me with a copyright claim. I got two in one day. Before i can react I got a third and my account was suspended. Then I got hit with a claim when my account was locked out and they banished me. I wrote a few letters and they decided to reinstate me for two weeks but then decided to shit-can me permanently and never gave me a final reason. You can see the steep incline in the analytics graph..the bump and then crash.

I am using Pinwoot now just to see how that goes.

It took me about 9 months to get everything going. Now I'm doing the same thing spread over multiple niches and multiple accounts.

As soon as you get traffic use lightpop to pop up a fan page on your site so they can like it. This way if your pinterest account gets banned you can have fans and then just post your new pinterest board and tell everyone to follow. I was able to get 1000 of my followers back right away.

Thanks for creating this thread, I grew pretty organically so these tips are great.

When I say organically, basically I posted about 3 posts per day which I'm doing now. It helps to have several boards on several different topics. People will see that you are serious about Pinterest and follow you. They don't want to follow a dud. I was getting 200 - 300 new follwers per day right before the ban. I had to get a dedicated server and the whole 9.

I think part of my success was that my original account was old. I got it when Pinterest was invite only. I never used it, but I had it and it might of had some authority.

I will get back there, but I just want to caution you guys to what I learned. Good Luck!!

So you have getting 300 images to pin on each account? So with 13 account, you pin around 3900 images? Then you repin images these images with other accounts?

I use about 10 .tk domains for each of my sites to redirect to from Pinterest. Havent had any bans for a long time. Currently I am pinning 300 pins a day from 13 accounts using Pinblaster. After about a week I will create a new .tk account and make new .tk domains to redirect with

On the niches that I use I am getting sales every day now so thats with about 3000 pins a day and various repins and follows etc.

Hope that helps.

What do you mean by bookmarking and embedding my pins? Do you embed the pins into your wordpress or money site?

Cool thread guys. Pinterest is one nut I am trying to crack (6 months now). I have tried all the bots, plugins and scrappers you can think of.

The key to my efforts has been trying to make images unique in pinterests eyes so you get the nice indexing boost of traffic after a few days.

I started off using wp rss importer, with jollybox.de and nextscript. Full auto posting solution and limited image size to 500px wide. This was hit and miss some images got traffic but most not. Also I had to limit posting to every 30 mins to stop the spam filter killing me.

Next I looked into scraping, resizing and bulk posting. Firefox downloadthemall addon or gimages scrapper, resized with "photosizer" and bulk posted or drip fed posts with "Images 2 posts" wp plugin. Same story... hit and miss plus still limited with posting. (30mins)

Now I am making and posting images the same I would of to game g images years ago. I am using a zoom firefox addon, screen capture and only grabbing sections of images. I make sure to fully optimize the images from downloading file names to alt tags when posting. This is a lot more work but my increase in traffic has been huge!

I do use N pinner to follow and unfollow at times but what I am seeing is the same as with SEO. The more chaotic you are on pinterest the more traffic you will get.... Make a few posts, auto pin to your boards, go follow a few people, do a few repins and likes, share your new pins on big boards, add a comment or two to other peoples pins... rinse repeat. Zero footprints.

Another thing I am testing with promising results is bookmarking and embedding my pins. Pin SEO? It works for every other site and site like YT are built on it so why would that not be worked in to pinterest?

Quick update: If you want to play the long game build up niche pinterest accounts and slowly fill up a site with images using one of the techniques above. Then once you have 10k+ posts/images fully optimized use the (nextscript) snap pro 3.0 beta plugin to repost at random to social sites. This is something I am also setting up. Filling up a site with foodie images, using header and footer plugin to add recipe of the month with possible CPA, adsense and others.

Also guys what purpose does scraping pinterest for images serve? Is it 'legal' to repost pins with your URL? Its like taking credit.
