Pinterest Discussion Thread <<<<<<<Lets Branstorm

Hi BHW fellows,

for the past few months I have spend some time working on pinterest method. At this moment I`m at about $45-70/day and I do believe that it is not that hard to scale that up. What I need at the moment is many more food and recipe related boards. If you have them and if you want to spend some time sending me invites, I`ll give you some useful tips how you can use those boards to earn some more cash pinning recipes to those boards.

Emilex, tips first! ;)

I have some recipes boards and I can invite you.

Well guys...made two more sales today that is $200 I made this week. Not bad.I'm getting double the traffic I was getting.Seems like if you let your account sit for a few days you get more traffic...At least in my case.

I'm not gonna be greedy though.Once my account is making $100 a day i'm not going to do anything else to it and move on to a new niche and just repeat what I did.Seems easy enough.

What are you promoting?

Personally, the method I use that I find works quite well is two fold.

- First repinning popular images under my niche with my source URL (which I can find via PinPioneer)
- Then downloading these same images in mass, watermarking them all and uploading them back not only to Pinterest with my source URL, but also a number of photo sharing websites. This cross-link structure I find works quite well in bringing traffic to all sections.

You can expand on this by taking all the downloaded images, and sticking them into a high quality Wordpress photo blog then monetizing with ads.

What ads you use on Blog?

Cool thread guys. Pinterest is one nut I am trying to crack (6 months now). I have tried all the bots, plugins and scrappers you can think of.

The key to my efforts has been trying to make images unique in pinterests eyes so you get the nice indexing boost of traffic after a few days.

I started off using wp rss importer, with jollybox.de and nextscript. Full auto posting solution and limited image size to 500px wide. This was hit and miss some images got traffic but most not. Also I had to limit posting to every 30 mins to stop the spam filter killing me.

Next I looked into scraping, resizing and bulk posting. Firefox downloadthemall addon or gimages scrapper, resized with "photosizer" and bulk posted or drip fed posts with "Images 2 posts" wp plugin. Same story... hit and miss plus still limited with posting. (30mins)

Now I am making and posting images the same I would of to game g images years ago. I am using a zoom firefox addon, screen capture and only grabbing sections of images. I make sure to fully optimize the images from downloading file names to alt tags when posting. This is a lot more work but my increase in traffic has been huge!

I do use N pinner to follow and unfollow at times but what I am seeing is the same as with SEO. The more chaotic you are on pinterest the more traffic you will get.... Make a few posts, auto pin to your boards, go follow a few people, do a few repins and likes, share your new pins on big boards, add a comment or two to other peoples pins... rinse repeat. Zero footprints.

Another thing I am testing with promising results is bookmarking and embedding my pins. Pin SEO? It works for every other site and site like YT are built on it so why would that not be worked in to pinterest?

Quick update: If you want to play the long game build up niche pinterest accounts and slowly fill up a site with images using one of the techniques above. Then once you have 10k+ posts/images fully optimized use the (nextscript) snap pro 3.0 beta plugin to repost at random to social sites. This is something I am also setting up. Filling up a site with foodie images, using header and footer plugin to add recipe of the month with possible CPA, adsense and others.

You can use anything. Adsense? Clickbank? If adult, LiveJasmin. Since PinPioneer is back up to full speed now, I'm actually in the process of writing up a full guide + 20 minute video describing an easy way to monetize pinterest with photo blogs. It'll be released for free here, stay tuned!

do you have mixed boards or in simillar niche? are you uploading manually?

I've been looking for the solution to this for nearly 2 years now, I'm sure one of you know. How do you make your pins go to the "Everything" category (pinterest.com/all) now a days? I want to get back at making $1200 per hour like in Feb. 2012 while most of you fools keep buildin followers and boards, lol.

I have no idea what's the criteria or the alghorithm they're using now, before you would just pin a picture and it would go straight to the category, everyone browsing it would go to your link instantly.
I've tried a million times, sometimes it works, most it doesn't, new accounts, old accounts, you name it.
That's what you guys should be focusing, not building 'authority' low money bullshit.

You just called everyone a fool and shit all over their method, yet you're still looking for advice...

Advanced Pinterest Tip:

Dear Mr. Douche, It's not Feb 2012 anymore. You can't use the same marketing tactics year after year.

I didn't call everyone a fool, but if the hat fits, just wear it.
I'm sorry you didn't got to the money train on time, you will some day.

Any idea how to make money from a "halloween makeup" board? i have 11k real followers. I`we tried clickbank product and amazon and no conversion :(

Is traffic drastically down for everyone this week? I'm hoping that it's due to Halloween with nearly all families with kids setting up for trick or treating, but will pick up the next day.

Nice thread.
Can anyone point me to any imacros that work with the current iteration of pinterest? The ones I've found so far no longer work
