Mate, trust me at no point in my life did I romantically daydream about standing up for 4+ hours in a row in the blazing sun watering plants, bending, weeding, etc... but the money is like hitting the lottery.

My mum and dad told me the exact same thing - they went to school to avoid the grind of the farm. After I showed my mother the research that watermelons really are super profitable, she flipped and now is very supportive haha.

Keep in mind my grandmother fed, clothed and educated 7 children alone when her husband died just from pineapple farming. The money is real and serious. That's all I'm after :D.

Seriously though, all the best with the crops. It takes so much commitment and discipline to do what you're doing, it's definitely not a job for just anyone.
 
Careful with beetles and i think the rule is you probably lose 1/3 of your crops to various problems. Good luck it isnt easy work for sure.
