[Pics]Profit Farming Progress

Thanks. I think there are some government consulting services for farmers, we'll see what they advise and proceed, but yes, most profitable crop will be the priority.

And yes, we are creating artificial rain water holding reservoirs to make water available, so no issues with water...

(Not real image, just googled it, but similar)

So do you mean the tomatoes were not the most profitable but you grew them because of the soil quality, etc...?

We grew those for ourselves, at any marketplace you'll find mostly tomatoes made of wood and water, without any taste. I didn't sell , filled the cellar with enough tomato juice and pasta for 2 years, put some in the freezer and gave alot to friends and relatives.

Yes sir because the tomatoes in my grandparents garden in Bulgaria look exactly the same !!!

You have the toes of a great successful man. I wish you the best of luck sir.

Two options:

  1. There is an image icon beside the smiley in the text editor; there you can paste any image link and the link will be inserted.
  2. There is a "Upload File" option where you hit "post reply" for posting the message.
But I don't think you've completed the minimum number of posts or number of days required to post a image if there is any limit.

Isn't IM and Farming a beautiful combination :D. I can Imagine sitting on top of hut working on laptop while workers getting busy with farming and stuff.

I have a spare piece of land which is suitable for melon farming not sure about how to get the seeds for hybrid melons, will have to check but surely worth a try. Already have a eucalyptus farm but it takes long fucking time. Already into sixth year and it looks like they will take 3 4 years more before I encash.

Good luck with the journey mate, keep us posted.:):)

Wow that looks like a massive farm with healthy plants. Very nice job mate! Are the numbers good?

Absolutely man, it's an amazing combination. I really hope to mix this up with exporting in the future.

Well, I found them in Nairobi, I'm pretty sure you can also find equivalent seeds in any big city in the world, or maybe order online?

Eucalyptus was really, really super profitable here about 10 years ago but then the power company stopped buying them so the prices tanked hard heh. Hope your area is more stable.
BHW becoming "Green Hat World".....Farming?....That's interesting topic...
Rofl, man if I could get away with "green" ;) farming I would but I'm not going to jail for any reason ever.

Yes bro total land is 15 acre(6.07 hectare)
And profit $10k in 6 months not big for BHW members

I live in a city here in the states, so no regular farming for me(I have a "large" lot at 1/5 acre, including house footprint), but I practice urban homesteading, and have gotten into edible landscaping, and have several square foot gardens and grew enough for the 2 of us.
I blog personally about my journey in urban homesteading and also use the site as a research notebook.
I grew up in the country and remember the hard work of farming, I am WAY past working like a mule again, but best of luck to you.

I'm very happy to see that you do this fruitful work and thinking as opposed to.. . :D . Well done and good direction you are taking.

Damn bro, where do you live? Almost any crop will perform better (except for corn) than that, but on the other hand I'm a noob so what do I know haha.
