Picking the right keyword

Hi everyone,

Just a quick question:

I'm building a MNS and i'll be trying to rank my keyword soon. It's a site where i try to sell a product (KEYWORD), now i have done some keyword research and comes out to this:

KEYWORD: 90 000 exact searches - low competition - 13million pages
BUY KEYWORD: 2000 exact searches - low competition - 6million pages

On which keyword should i focus? Keep in mind i want to SELL. With the BUY KEYWORD i know i'll get really targeted traffic that want to buy, but then i'll get very little traffic. Chances are that there will be a good amount of buyers as well with KEYWORD and i'll get a lot more traffic. It's a decision i can't really make because i'm not experienced enough.

Advertise on BHW
Go for the BUY keyword and then you can eventually break into the Keyword too with the rite type of diverse backlinks !

BUY KEYWORD is include in KEYWORD general searchs, so you have more chance to gain positions working for this.

90k exact match, thats huge man.. . In spain i dont found niches like this

@Seolic, okay thanks!. Yes 90k is pretty much, very glad i found that one and it's low competition as well. But i have an US only offer so it comes down to around 75k exact US searches, still good i think.

@Redza, maybe i wasn't clear enough but i don't want to reveal my niche so KEYWORD = the product itself.
 
Use the buy keyword to draw on the visitor's need. You will have a much more targeted audience to sell into. As you build out your site, expand on its taxonomy to highlight other secondary/tertiary phrases. You must plan your site structure to expand, and execute carefully.
 
Just curious, what are the "intitle" and "inurl" for the buy keyword?
 
you mean the amount of pages? then;

inurl = 26000
intitle = 30000

Don't know very much about this, is this a good or bad amount?
 
do this intitle:"keyword" inurl:"keyword"

This will tell you how many sites have a proper on page SEO.
 
OK,

Intitle:"BUY KEYWORD" = 190000 results
inurl:"BUY KEYWORD" = 210000 results

Is this good or bad news?

The result that you're gonna get if you do like I do is how many pages have BOTH title and URL optimized.
 
You need to collect more data than that. Look at the sites that currently rank. How powerful is their SEO? AdWords competition score isn't that good of a piece of data.

That's not AdWords competition score that's basic keyword research. If you get 100,000 sites with good on page SEO you can stop right there, you don't need any advanced keyword research

Hmm i also have an other keyword that has,

intitle:"BUY KEYWORD" inurl:"BUY KEYWORD" = 45000 results

and 4500 exact searches per month. So i'll think i'll go for that one instead..
 
130,000 is too good for keyword search, you must go with it.
