Just bumped into something called Phorm, (phorm.com, they don't deserve a live link!), has anyone heard of this before and what are your opinions?
I've found out my ISP uses Phorm along with several other ISP's in the UK. It stores your internet browsing patterns to then sell ads easier, through oix.com, The Open Internet Exchange.
Personally i think it's disgusting, although i'm sure if we can use it to our advantage it could be a good thing. I suppose in reality, it's also not too far wide of what Google does anyway.
Here's an article if you're interested and lets hope the Cult of The Dead Cow come up with something, although i now have oix.net and .com added to my adblockplus, which should help.
