Phorm: Where do you stand on this trash?!

Just bumped into something called Phorm, (phorm.com, they don't deserve a live link!), has anyone heard of this before and what are your opinions?

I've found out my ISP uses Phorm along with several other ISP's in the UK. It stores your internet browsing patterns to then sell ads easier, through oix.com, The Open Internet Exchange.

Personally i think it's disgusting, although i'm sure if we can use it to our advantage it could be a good thing. I suppose in reality, it's also not too far wide of what Google does anyway.

I don't like it, but this is the way things are going. Comcast and other media providers are doing this with television as well. All of the media companies playing patty-cake with each other seems rather incestuous to me, but I'm sure they are turning large profits which is their purpose for existence. C'est la vie.
