I have some Facebook profiles I purchased that I use for advertising.

That prompt comes from a historical security checkpoint. You can’t manually delete it.
Best fix:
Set email as primary
Use authenticator app only
Log out all sessions → wait 24–48h → login from a clean, consistent environment

After a few stable logins, the WhatsApp request usually disappears.
It’s a trust-score issue, not a setting issue.
 
Advertise on BHW
Don't try because in this case the account still records the old information and there is no way to fix it. Contact the provider and request them to replace the account.

This usually happens because Facebook’s security system still associates that number as a trusted recovery method, even if it no longer shows in account settings.

Unfortunately, there’s no manual way to force-remove it once it’s flagged internally. Clearing sessions or enabling an authenticator doesn’t always reset those checks.

The only legit options are:
  • Completing the security checks Facebook offers (identity verification, account review), or
  • Letting the account “cool down” and logging in consistently from the same device/IP over time until the system stops triggering extra verification.
Trying to bypass or force-remove WhatsApp/SMS checks usually makes the situation worse and can permanently lock the profile.
 
If it’s a real, personally owned account, it may still be recoverable. If not, it’s better to drop it, move on, get a new account, and continue the work.
 
Unfortunately, there's no way you can continue using that Facebook account. Facebook uses your phone number to verify accounts, so losing access means you can no longer verify your account.

If Facebook keeps requesting that WhatsApp code, it usually means the number is still tied at risk-layer level, even if not visible in settings.
What works in practice:
  • Add a fresh phone number → verify → wait 24–48h → then remove it.
  • Keep only authenticator + trusted device login.
  • Avoid logging from new IP/device for a few days.
For long-term stability, profiles with clean history and proper warm setup reduce these loops a lot.
This is the type of infrastructure we focus on when running and scaling FB campaigns.
