This man bought something off my website and he keeps bashing everything about the product on social media platforms! He said it was a crappy product (only 1 complaint out of 1000s of orders) I think the guy is hating because of all the attention my website is getting.

Do I respond back to them on social media where the whole world sees? He tells me he is going to go to the BBB!!

What would you do?

Nah, just block that bitch and move on bro. Focus on delivering quality to the 1000s of others and new customers! My mom focused on this one troll to the point that they didn't have their focus on working towards making their shit good and just focusing on this ONE person, it's just stupid. :)

Thank you! Just sucks that its on facebook and other social media platforms... Its been a week on them. If I can should I delete their comments or respond the inaccurate statement he is making?

If you have the option, just go ahead and refund that person and close the deal forever.

Just state its unfortunate you didn't get any usefulness out of our service but we would be happy to help you in anyway possible. We tried reaching you and we would do anything we can to rectify the problem. Here is our contact details

Seems like an almost unavoidable reputation management situation. It would help to turn any negative press into positive.

It sucks to have to call more attention to the situation with a response. But if you do reply, the correct response can actually help your rep.

You can mitigate the situation if you publically give them great customer support, customer service, or even a refund.

Block them, delete posts, move on. It's the best choice, engaging sick people only makes you sick in the process.

Write a polite reply, people expect to see the odd negative review anyway, write a nice reply and they'll see you're a professional company dealing with the occasional unavoidable bellend

Unsatisfied customers come with every business and you will not be able to please everyone. They are either really pissed with your product or they are your competitor and only bought it to defame your business. Also, there are plenty of people out there who are just plain difficult to deal with and nothing pleases them whatsoever. You can reply to their message in the most polite and professional way possible but it sounds like that is only going to make them keep going because they are getting a response out of you. Just continue with your business and don't let one person bother you.
