I use reddit as a regular user. No promotions, no harassment.

I got banned from a subreddit for submitting 3 on topic links too soon after each other. I used an alt account to get around that and all of my accounts got permanently suspended for ban evasion.

I tried going back to reddit

- deleting all of my reddit cookies from Firefox ( the same browser I used for my old accounts )
- logging into my VPN service
- creating a new account with a very different username
- using a fresh email address with the new account and from a different email provider
- avoided posting in subreddits I've used before, to look like a different person
- posting on topic, polite, and friendly posts

The account lasted for about a day before it also got permanently suspended, this time for violating "Reddit Content Policy".
The automated note didn't specify which rule was violated.

I'm guessing that the automated systems on Reddit figured it out it was "me" somehow or VPN usage is just flagged as suspicious automatically.

I'm new to evading account suspensions.

I would appreciate any clues about what I may be missing

You would have used the same browser or VPN. You can easily create a new account from another browser with a real residential IP.

I have a reddit account i almost never use or used for anything ever. And its made using a real home IP address.

2 days ago it for suspended. So i appealed the suspension and i asked the cunts, how can i be suspended when i never even use my account?

A few hours later i was unsuspended. Eh...

The residential IP I can use is the one I was suspended under. Wouldn't that be a problem?
I called my ISP to ask them to change my IP. They told me to power cycle my modem, which didn't work. The clerk told me there is nothing else they can do to change the IP.

I did use the same VPN service I have been using for years. Is there a free/cheap solution for that?

I did use the same browser, but that is easily fixed.

I guess using TOR would set off alarms. I have a copy of Chromium I used to log in to Reddit once or twice over the years. Would that be unsafe to use?

did all of your accounts point to same domain

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "domain".

All of my old accounts used gmail addresses, some of them shared between accounts.

The newly created account used a different email provider.

I used the same VPN service I have had for years.

You can change the IP of the modem easily unless it serves from a static IP. You can't use a VPN since the IPs are really bad. You can use your mobile IP as well. If you can't find a solution even after trying all the above steps, purchase a residential IP from a trusted seller and use it to create a new account. If you don't know how IPs and networks work, first learn them properly before wasting your time and money.

If you used your accounts to promote the same website your website that leaves a footprint.Their are spam hunters on reddit that have scripts to search for suspicious accounts

Yeah the problem was probably the VPN IP as those are moslty listed as spam. Try to create a new account with with a multi login browser like Dolphin Anty (10 profiles are free) and a clean mobile proxy

Ah. Thank you. I didn't use any of my accounts to do promotion of any kind.

Did you create the alt accounts from same IP? You might need to buy from reputed seller who has experience of this.

I read up on what mobile proxies are. That was actually interesting. I don't want to pay for such a service. I want to be there as a regular user, not professionally to promote anything.

Would a free proxy with Dolphin Anty work?

I tested a few IP addresses from my VPN service with is tool, and they all came back clean:

Do you think reddit is just assuming anyone with a VPN is a bad actor, or are they booting me out based on a "signature" ( browser, information they can get from it, etc ) ?
