Hey Aspkin: Do you think .info domain 1on1 (no subdomains) are going do better than "free co.cc subdomains"?
Or is it going to be the same crap?
I would take the $.89 .info's just like a jump starter, and when the wheel start movin' I am gonna pass onto .com's.
I recommend .info over co.cc domains.
And once you have a domain name established.. it's not a good idea to drop it and go for a .com or whatever domain name. Once you have a domain name, stick to it.
In the long run .com domain names are better then .info domain names, but .info domain names are still your own domain names, that you can have as long as you want, it won't get deleted without your notice, they're cheap and you can have as many as you want. Overall I don't recommend them for a few reasons mentioned in the eBook, but in your case I do.
More on co.cc domains...
From http://www.co.cc/faq/faq.php#p2
Are there any cases my domain is deleted? Yes, if you violate our rules. We do not redirect illegal/ spam/ adult site. If a domain has these contents, it will be suspended.
Next, we encourage user to have only one account for free. Which means, having a multiple account is a violation of our regulation. Finally, If your site has been rejected by co.cc, it may not a valid url or your redirected site isn't a right site for free domain. Revocation of a registration would usually be done regularly and automatically without notice. You can see the details at Terms of Service.
.com > .info > co.cc
That's how I feel about it at least.
