Actually, the results from the crawler depend largely on the sites that you choose to crawl. Too many first-timers tend to crawl the same handful of known authority sites, that have been crawled and picked clean a hundred times before.
The customers, who find the best domains are the ones who are looking for domains within specific and not very popular niches and are able to find websites to crawl that others have not.
The Guru 3 plan will give you 5 times the crawling capacity of the Guru 1 plan. But no matter how much crawling capacity you have, crawling the same websites as everyone else is not going to magically results in awesome domains.
