I have had the chance to test the "Guru" crawler for a few days and would like to add the promised review.
Having tried a few crawlers before, i was sceptical how this one would perform, but you never know before you try.
Here are a few things i like:
- A simple webinterface that is really "set and forget"
- Great integration into domcop. If you are a current user of domcop, this won't interrupt your workflow but widens your "fishing net"
- Seamless process from scraping to metrics checking. No majestic credits needed or anything. Truly Plug and play.
- Different Methodologies on how to scrape domains to choose from and experiment with. Some might work better for some niches so great foresight here.
There are ways to scrape domains that are quicker compared to what they cost but also more hands on and require you to have your own infrastructure in place (Server, Proxies etc).
If you value your time and just want domains, i'd try the biggest package. The 10 Thread starter plan is a bit too slow if you want to build a sizeable PBN and this is your only scraping solution. With the biggest plan, you should be able to get a few decent domains every day. But standards vary highly so you have to try it yourself.
All in all, good value for the money!
