I use them straight to the money site with brand anchors. But you can easily use them as pumper web 2.0s, but since they already have backlinks, I like to use them as tier 1.

Does Tumblr still allow do*follow links?

Also, what's the best practice to update 10+ Tumblrs without getting the accounts banned?

Yes, Tumblr is still d0follow.

Best practice would be to have a separate installation of Firefox Portable for each of them with a different proxy. :)
 
Better? Maybe. This one is the safest, so don't be lazy. :)
 
Install one. Copy it 100 times. Log in on one, post there, close it, open second, login, post, and so on.

It's not as hard as it sounds, each FF portable has it's own folder. :)

Bought 1 expired tumblr to test it out. Here are the stats

External Backlinks 33
Referring Domains 2
Referring IPs 2
Referring Subnets 2
 
I have just bought 10 Tumblrs from Nargil. All of them have high number of referring domains and it will be interesting to see how money site reacts on backlinks from these tumblrs. It's real pleasure doing business with Nargil!
 
After the discount, the TF20+ are $15 and TF30+ are $20. :)
 
Just bought a second batch sites to round out my backlinks. Quick and easy :)
