TLDR; Wasted about $1k on crappy PBN services, started a new blog and it only cost me 36 USD to outrank myself.
My journey
I read a lot but don’t often comment but I felt it was time to share my experience with this service.
I bought 5 expired web 2.0’s a while ago, and it totally worked. If you’re in a low competition (really low) niche this service helps you go up in the SERP’s. I guess the topical TF really matters, at least from my experience.
I started a blog about 2 years ago and was doing great for a while, hardly any backlinks and I enjoyed beating the competition. I made quite some money and decided to use this money to get me some juicy backlinks. First I used the Hoth services, this worked for a while but only for a couple of months. After a while, I got the reverse hockey stick (not sure if that’s a term). My rankings dropped significantly.
Crappy PBN services
I was quite bummed out and tried a few PBN services here, wasted a lot of money and I guess I screwed up my blog. Please don’t buy crappy PBN backlink services at BHW, use the money for quality and topical relevant backlinks! Better to get a single expensive backlink than 100 crappy pbn links with obvious footprints.
My gut told me all those pretty pics and awesome review results were too good to be true. They didn’t do anything except burn my wallet. Google now thinks my blog is in an entirely different niche than it’s supposed to be. Lesson learned I guess.
Starting over, Eureka!
I decided to start a new blog about 11 months ago with the same topic, and this time keep it clean. I wouldn’t even call it a blog. Just the main page (EMD domain), contact, terms & conditions, privacy. That’s it. Soon I ranked on the first page for my main keyword but was stuck at the bottom.
I came across
@Nargil 's web 2.0 service, it’s cheap and you’re in control.
A week ago this happened:
As soon as the 2.0 links appeared in Google webmaster tools my site moved up in the SERP's. My site isn’t very appealing tbh, but conversions are up 400%. Thanks man, best 36 USD I’ve spent! I wasted about $1K on my other blog with crappy backlinks and I’m now outranking myself.
Next steps
So I’m now ranking 4th on the first page (I think), there’s a FB and Reddit page just above me. I’m not taking any shortcuts this time, but I still get that greedy feeling. I'm pretty content where I am, but I wish to go upwards. Constructive feedback on what to do is appreciated!
I’m also trying hard to scrape expired domains to build a PBN but it’s a bitch, fuck the Japanese, くたばれ (except the ones in-line at the metro). It seems almost impossible to get decent expired domains over 100 referring domains. I also got 2 backlinks from Lionzeal’s PBN service yesterday so maybe this will give a boost, but it's expensive. I’m going to put money aside I earn to get a really juicy backlink.
Thank you and sorry for the wall of text.
