We have a one-click upsell in place in our funnel - basically, those customers who purchase the initial item are presented with a high conversion second offer, and all they have to do to purchase this is press one button. About 50-55% of all people who make the first purchase will also buy our second offer (the upsell). As an affiliate, we give you 75% on both first and second offer, hence as happened in your case, you get about $25 from the first sale, and about $11 from the upsell = total of $36 per sale.

Note that these number may be a bit different at different times according to the conversion rate of eur/gbp to usd, or according to the customer's currency.

In any case, lots of cash for you

Hi i have two questions (and one is unrelated to your product but asking as you seem to be a clickbank expert)

1) How much potential is there now for someone starting out in IM to choose this product and run with it as their affiliate product would you say? When you launched it i imagine it was a great opportunity, i am sure still nice now, but wondering with everyone already marketing it how hard it will be , as i imagine alot of the forums etc will already have people posting in them etc.

2) i saw a product in a niche i have some experience in so would find it easiest to write about on clickbank but it only had a clout of 0.8, all the products in this niche seemed to have a clout of <1. Does this mean they are not worth an affiliates time marketing? how does a product with a clout of 0.5 differ from one with a clout of 2, or 5 or 10. I checked the clickbank explanation but it was very vague and just said this is a measure of the performance etc.

2 - "clout"?

1 - Although it has just been a few months since we launched this product, it's popularity has exploded and it has already been in Clickbank's Remedies top 10 best sellers for about 2 months now. Hence, there is indeed significant affiliate competition for promoting it. That being said, it all depends on how you decide to promote it. You can still find unsaturated avenues of traffic generation, or you can put a twist on a popular method (e.g. look for indirect keywords when doing ppc, etc...). Maybe you already have some health traffic available to you (e.g. an email list of ppl interested in weight loss) - our product has proven to convert extremely well on this kind of traffic.

That being said, if you want something with almost zero affiliate competition and conversion rates as good as this one, check out the french version that we have just launched, with vendor ID:

FSCIATICA

You can easily get a site ranked as there are very few marketers targeting this niche in french. Even if you do not speak any french, you can find a lot of tools in our affiliate section, and you could outsource the writing of the articles for example. The french niche is a goldmine that is still untapped, so anyone, even complete IM newbies, who get started early, are set to make some crazy profits for a long time with it.

On the other hand, if you'd rather stick to english hidden gems, send me a PM and I can share with you a couple of our clickbank products that are undiscovered by affiliates and so are ideal for beginners. These are products with gravities between 5-20, conversion rates of roughly 10%, and earnings per sale of $25-30.

Hi Mancar, thanks for the advice, I just saw your reply to the thread in which someone posts they got their first click bank sale and I asked about videos, and it reminded me to check back in , in this thread. Our french version is another record breaker!

Both offers are killing it on weight loss traffic as almost all overweight people (that's 60-75% of adults) suffer from back problems. In fact on weight loss traffic, it converts better than weight loss products themselves. Affiliates are making $5,000+ from single email blasts by using our free pdf report as a hook.

Tip: do not attach it to the email, but rather provide a link to a page where they can then find the download link (basically a squeeze page without an opt in of course as you already have their email). This way you will get the most downloads and conversions, because if you attach it to the email it may get marked as spam by spam filters, and if you provide a direct download link on the email, this may be viewed with suspicion. Hence the best strategy is:

Email talking about free ebook -> page with ecover and download link -> $$$$$$$$$$$$

It is all about testing. You need to test, test, test. And then when you find something that works ... test more to optimize!

I spend 50k per month plus on PPC ads for my day job, and I know all about the frustrations of not making sales as fast as I would like to. But once you get into the mind of your prospective customer and start tweaking, you will see results.

Think about this: If PPC "didn't work" (like I see so many people claiming) would businesses spend MILLIONS every year on Adwords, Bing, Facebook ads etc? Of course not! PPC is amazing if done right ... you can drive traffic so quickly and there is so much optimisation that can be done.

But PPC isn't friendly to poor quality affiliate promotions. Direct linking, or even single-page lander linking can make money. But I guarantee you'll get better results if you build up a proper niche-targeted site about Sciata (or whatever product you're promoting).
