I've been using this software for a while and after following Yenerich's suggestions, I am able to get an average of 600 clicks daily using the public proxies on a very basic vps.
I don 't have any movement yet with ranking but GWT is reporting an increase in CTR from 3% to 18%.
My plan now is to use a second laptop to run the application including a couple of other applications as I think it will be much faster than a vps and best of all, is a one off payment instead of a monthly one. A cheap second hand pc should be enough so we'll see how it goes.

Im not sure. In our experience VPS works better, and even better if does not run another apps.
But you can try and compare.
Our public proxies database is a very good and large database (over 65k proxies) free for IGR users. Its giving good results to many users, because, no matter thatn the succesrate could be low, using 65k proxies will give you a good amount of success even if the rate is, per example, 10%.

Notice that we keep growing our database of publics proxies, its huge now, its over 60K of proxies.
Even if it get a lower successfull rate, you can make a lot of daily clicks using it.
Try to follow the instructions that we provide and you will be able to get many clicks. Use a clean and fast VPS (coul be cheap, with 2 cores and 3 gigas, it will be under $20)

Its a Google redirect
We add the most common user agents, its enough to increase your CTR.
The proxies... you should use backconnect, privated proxies does not work since the IP will repeat.
There is an option to have geo backconnects, but its not chap at all.
The normal backconnects are good enought to get a great CTR increment in Google if you follow the instructions.

IGR isnt navigating within random pages on my site. it just hits my landing homepage and sits there. Ive tried both specific links or random options.

Our free proxy database keeps getting bigger, now we have over 80k proxies !!
If you use this database, run at least 15 threads to get good results.
You will get several hundred click in a few hours (unless you do a very specific geolocation that will make discard most proxies), if you select all America, Europe and some Asian countries, per example, you will get a lot of clicks. Remember that for this, you will need to run at least 15 threads.
ALWAYS use Webmaster Tools to check results, do not use Majestic or Analytics, etc. Only Webmaster Tools will show the real data in Google for this, like the real CTR, etc.

Redirecting to 2Captcha works fine and its easy.
Also, may i ask you how many click are you making each day? To use 2k credits in Captchas is because you are doing A LOT of daily clicks or you are doing something wrong or using DeatchByCaptcha with another software.
When i run it to make 2k to 4k daily clicks, i spent $5 per week in captchas. And if i redirect to 2Captcha i spend $2 to $3 per week.
