Dear Dip3k05,

I was testing your software with a friend and I've noticed that TW and other similar programs often break easily whenever the services change their code. Do your users need to report every broken task or do you get automatic alerts whenever an error occurs in a user's project? For example, captcha functionality seems to be very difficult to keep working and the services frequently make small changes that can break your software. So in those cases, are you alerted automatically by your software so that your users don't need to report every bug to you?

hi,
yeah, this is the life, it is a continue work in progress.
We have automatic bug reporting, so when a site has to many fails, we know that something happened to that site. We are also testing the list on a weekly basis. But user reporting is also welcomed. Sometimes, this is the fastest way to fix a script/bug, etc.

Thank you. It seems like a challenging process. I appreciate all the hard work you do to keep the app updated. I hope you never quit because I think TW addresses an important niche in the SEO market. I don't really like the way most other similar tools try to control so much of the processes. So I have recommended TW to one of my clients. In the meantime, I'm learning how to use it by working with another colleague who has it. I have a couple questions:

Is it possible to combine task data so that we can have a global task list screen, which includes all accounts and task data? The reason this is important is because you are constantly adding new sites, but we can't see any of the new sites unless we create a completely new task. But if we do that, then we lose context about the performance of all previous task activities, which means there is no way to easily and simultaneously analyze all previous and new sites/account task data on one screen. Yes, I know I can export to CSV and manipulate the data that way, but I can't take action on that data without switching back and forth between all the different task projects. This gets really confusing and tedious when there are many task projects.

It would be so much easier if we could see the real-time running count of all submitted URLs corresponding to each account/site (previous and new accounts/sites) and the latest corresponding status messages so that we could have a global perspective on the overall success/failure associated to all accounts/sites. This would make it easier to determine which errors need to be corrected and how correcting those errors impacts the overall campaign across all previous and new sites/accounts/tasks. This is important because there may be many tasks associated to a single campaign.

Also, to make it easier to manage large clients/projects, you could create a hierarchical project/campaign/task interface that gives us more control over the way we organize our campaigns, which would also have the ability to generate reports at different group levels. Many similar tools use the concept of "folders" that represent individual projects, tasks and campaigns. So you could have a hierarchy like this: Project > Campaign > Task. Each Project would represent an individual client and contain x campaigns; each campaign would represent a bundle of x tasks associated to each campaign; and each task (the current functionality) would represent all of the granular data and activities required to accomplish the goals of each campaign(s) for a given client (project).

So to summarize: Having a global reporting and project/campaign management functionality to analyze data across all tasks and being able to start/stop tasks and add new accounts from that global screen would make the campaign management process really enjoyable. Do you have any plans to add these features?

Thanks. The idea behind this was to let users choose how to do things, edit, manage, etc. To be able to fine tune many aspects, but also to work out of box.

Every task is saved as a task_name.xml file (in the tasks folder). The xml can be edited as desired: add/remove data. So you can easily add new site, combine tasks, etc (just have to understand how the xml is structured (but it is easy).

So, something like a taskbar counter (app taskbar) (real time), and display registered successfully/failed count, submitted successfully/failed count? We can do that.

I understand perfectly your request. Is a major change in the app structure, but I add it on the to do list. It will be a nice change.

ok, I added all of the above on the list. We will try to get this as soon as possible.

- [Fixed] Wordpress and Wordpress Manager Scripts to work with latest website changes.

12/30/16 DB Update v252:
- [Added] new site: Projectwedding.com

Note: tumblr registration is not working anymore. They added a nice antibot measure. We are searching for a workaround. One of the workaround will be to make the registration Semi-Automatic (so you will have to do a verification step manually.

OK, I'll try to learn it.

Actually, I really like the way you currently present the statistics for all the tasks in a very condensed space. What I'm visualizing in my mind is the exact same type of consistent visual interface for each level in the hierarchy. So if you're in the existing "Task Module" you see the interface that you have now. Then if you're in the future "Campaign Module" you would see the same type if grid and the only difference would be the statistics represent the activity for entire campaigns. And from inside that Campaign Module you can double-click on each task to drill back down into the Task Module to view all the stuff that we can currently see. And the highest level "Project Module" would appear exactly the same (as a grid) and the only difference would be the statistics represent all the activity for each project/client in the user's portfolio of projects/clients. So at this project level (inside the Project Module) double-clicking each project would drill-down into the Campaign Module to view the corresponding campaign-level data inside that project.

You could also add some convenient counters to the app taskbar if you want, which would be useful to see summary statistics that could not be seen if you're in a lower-level module. However, I think the most important thing is to be able to see aggregated data across tasks and campaigns and to be able to organize our tasks and campaigns more efficiently so we don't have to spend so much time in Excel manipulating the data to understand how our campaigns and projects are performing for our clients.

The existing grid module is the most efficient approach to present lots of information in the smallest amount of space, which I really like. Anybody who is comfortable with spreadsheets will appreciate the existing interface and I don't think you need to change the UI strategy because most of your users probably like the no-nonsense approach. If you simply replicate that same interface for each level of the hierarchy, that would probably be the easiest approach for you and it will provide the most power and flexibility for your users.

I understand perfectly your request. Is a major change in the app structure, but I add it on the to do list. It will be a nice change.
Thank you!

I might have just found a bug in the spintax logic for the profile generator. It is a multi-level spintax block so it's relatively complex, but I have tested the same spintax in other common SEO tools and the spun profile cycles through all the available spinner logic as expected. But in TW, part of the profile seems to get stuck on a few keywords and ignores all the other words within a particular sub-block. It causes me to wonder if maybe TW does not process multiple spin levels yet. If you need to see the exact spintax block to troubleshoot, please PM me so I can reply to you with the exact spintax. (I can't PM you yet because I don't have enough posts.)

Happy New Year!

It can it should be able to process multi spin levels. I will PM you, to get your example and test on my side.

Btw, we started to add the Projects->Tasks option.

One LICENSE allows you to install the application on any number of computers, but it will run on just one computer at the same time. No diagram yet.

Very Important, please read this:
As we added the Projects box, old tasks will be outside the projects (in root). You can still use them if you do not click on the New Project button. To include your existing tasks in Projects, create a new Project, go to your Tasks folder, edit the xml files and add this line (as a third line) <Project>Your Project Name Here</Project>, after the second line named <Task>. It should look like this:
<Task>
<Project>name of project</Project>
<Checked>ignore this text</Checked>

Hello,

Your product looks awesome. Just signed up for a 14 day trial. After filling all the info in the software (the forms) I get this "You must be registered to run tasks" when I hit the start button. I am quite sure I am not doing something correctly. If you can point out the error . . .

Thanks!
