Come on dude, you know SEO is not an exact science. This would be an educated but pie-in-the-sky guess rather than THIS is what it will take. I mean I do a lot of keyword research and when 2 keywords indicated very easy, that does not mean both are going to be very easy. One may take a couple of weeks, the other may take a couple of months.

There are not doubts that high competitive keywords need big job to be done to be able to appear in the Top 10 on Google. The keyword I am targeting is a 5 word long tail, approx 1600 monthly searches and according to keyword revealer it has moderate competition, top 10 sites are not IMO all mega authority sites, the big sites from what I can see in the top ten are youtube, diynetwork and wikihow (4 out of the top ten sites).

I fail to see how a moderately competitive keyword like this would require an $18k investment to get into googles top ten. Maybe I am missing something.

Thanks for taking the time to review my keyword and site for me, I can confirm that the keyword I had been given when my site was created, although not highly competitive I am up against some huge authority sites. I will check the tool with less competitive long tail keywords and report back.

It appears that because I have been sold a site with a keyword that would be rather difficult to rank in the top ten on google search results that the amount I would have needed to pay to generate enough links to outrank the competition as suggested by this tool may be in fact correct.

In addition to LinkBuildingServices reviewing my keywords he also was kind enough to offer a few suggestions for less competitive keywords which I will look into.
