Hi apignard,


Right now I have the Windows 1GB VPS BUDGET and I've very happy with the service. I'm currently running only GSA SER with 90 threads + CaptchaSniper .


If I upgrade to Windows 1GB VPS, what would be the max number of threads ?

I am bumping this thread again.One of the servers i have got is not with the specifications i ordered.I definitely don't want to wait until Monday for something that is not under my control and i can't change.
Your guys from the support changed several IPs the past few days and i have 3x1 GB servers with 2 cores (that i can connect to + 1x with 4 GB,4 cores that i ordered around in June),but the second with 4 GB with 4 cores is missing.Re-allocate a new IP for it and send it my way.

In the support ticket,you will see the IP address i can't connect to and the 4 servers i CAN connect to right now(i have a total of 5 servers with you,but as i said the second one with 4 GB,4 cores is missing).

P.S:Now i can connect to all servers,BUT still i have one server with the lowest plan,INSTEAD of the plan i payed for.I don't know in what language i have to explain this ...

You will gain 1 cpu so yes will be faster. One limit with be disk access with GSA, depend of your compain but maybe need go SSD/SAS will gain more than more cpu at some point.
For first upgrade, 100W plan will help for sure vs Budget due of CPU. network speed don't help much on GSA vs cpu/disk

If you have not divisible by 2 CPU in some case windows don't detect all CPU (but the VPS still running for our side on good number)
Not sure if Windows do the same, so we generally change socket/core number for fix it.

If you upgrade from a previews plan you need a cold shutdown (shutdown, then boot the vps) for get the VM update with new CPU number (valid for Memory, cpu and disk, disk will need resize your partition in windows disk management)

What (free) antivirus should we use on the server? On my PC I use old Avast (7) because this is one of rare antiviruses that doesn't block Zennoposter scripts but I cannot be installed on the server.

Our Windows license are only for windows server, there is less free antivirus for windows server than home windows version.

How long shoud i wait?I have PMed you/the support staff my server login details.Because the server was messed up,you need to upgrade the hard disk from 40 gb to 80 gb.I sent you message a day ago and nothing is done until now .... If i could magically change the hard disk myself,i wouldn't bother you with opening tickets and stuff...

I know the support is free,but you should give priority to the most important tasks where clients can't fix the problem/s themselves.

Incredible pricing. I was about to spend over twice the cost for less than half the features on a VPS with a more mainstream company, only because I need a lot of disk space though not many other features. Most Windows VPSes cost a pretty penny for a laughable amount of disk space. Anyway, getting the Windows install done now which is going smoothly.
