I am preparing a new version. Essentially the same blast coupled with high PR links as a monthly package. This will move the unmovable keywords.
For now I recommend to supplement a blast with a small number of high PR links from private places for better effect. No endorsements for any particular network but you are know where to look.
Penguin 2.0 was essentially a re-run of the same filter. If you link profile were still "over-optimised" (fuck, I hate this artificial word invented by Google) you would experience a dip in ranking.
Small and medium size e-commerce site are losing an organic traffic consistently over months and it might not be their fault. The way Google re-shuffles SERPs and re-structure the SERPages is designed to "steal" traffic from organic listing and funnel it into Google's properties or Google ads. First image traffic was stolen, then Knowledge Graph. Hell knows what comes next. Even those of my customers who did everything by the book are not immune. We are spinning the wheels just to keep organic traffic from dropping.
If your business rely on SEO too much, operate multiple domains. Use one as a main domain and have a solid reserve to move thing around. It is easier to rank clean domain now than de-optimise a one Google doesn't like. If you acquire high PR links, make sure you can change the links at will when you move the domain.
