I love seolix's GFP 2.0 service, but I have to admit that I was unhappy with this service. My keyword (and longtail versions of it that weren't included in the package) dropped an average of 20 spots (this was the only service I had going for that site as a test, besides their GFP service which has run for months).
I started wondering what was going on, so I took an in-depth look at the links. The links seem very low quality (the "high quality" profiles were mostly on PR0-1 sites, and a lot of them were asian or russian sites with no english and little content, very spammy looking) and the articles submitted weren't unique (it appears they submit the same article to different directories).
Obviously SEO is hit or miss sometimes, but If I would have known more about this package I would not have ordered it (I just assumed it would be good because of how awesome their frontier 2.0 service is). The links built were just too spammy for my tastes even if the rankings hadn't suffered. I'll just be sticking to their excellent GFP 2.0 service and avoiding Rank Showdown.

Just like you acknowledged, guess you didn't read the package descriptions before placing the orders - because you cannot compare

Regarding "spammy" sites, we are always working on updating our lists into new ones so this is something we'll be updating from time to time. However, let's not be conclusive - we all know what so called "spammy russian' networks did for SEO while it lasted - I'm talking about SAPE and other secret networks which are mostly operated on foreign undisclosed platforms. All in all it's all about the effect.

Like I said above, we are leveraging the good old content syndication strategy; many of us still do this in the form of Press Release submission and article submission. It's worked out well for us and for those who continue to practice this method - if we want a debate over this, unsolved mystery of unique content, that's a whole different thread
