If i downloaded and installed a virus affected theme, then virus would affect that website only, right?.
I wonder how my all websites got affected?.
I didn't even used cpanel of ftp since last 3,4 weeks.

Bluearrow is correct, your site might be a victim of SQL injection which could have caused issues. Wordpress isn't really full proof secured, so you will have to make sure that you keep everything updated. Also, make sure not to use cracked or pirated themes.

When you have think kind of injection problem it spreads to all sites in your account. I heard this happens if you have all your sites inside public html folder.

@ OP : Legal Adult / semi adult sites allowed ?

Yes you can if you buy a VPS or dedicated server. But illegal adult stuffs aren't allowed like Child porn etc. Anything that breaks laws in US isn't allowed.

How to avoid it?,,,
can i create more than 1 public html folder?..

Keep everything updated like I stated above and avoid using free or pirated themes.

I've previously left a positive review for HTN, however just wanted to update since I've been using the VPS for a while now.

First I'll say that the customer service is generally very prompt and they are newbie friendly.

However recently, my sites were shut down because of a spam complaint. HTN sent me the complaint, I responded and they advised they would forward the complaint to the relevant person(s). Two days later, all sites linked to my account were shut down, without word from HTN.

Now, my sites contain nothing illegal or against NTN's terms. The complaint was about a spam email I supposedly sent. First, my email lists are opt-in only. Second, I used Aweber - probably one the strictest email marketing providers around. I cannot even add emails manually without the recipient having to confirm. Third, all my emails are CAN-SPAM compliant. And fourth, the biggest kicker, was that the complaint included the supposed SPAM email (fully CAN-SPAM compliant), and it shows the recipient's IP and the date they opted in to my list.

I sent all this info to HTN and they still proceeded to shut my sites down. VERY DISAPPOINTING. This has the very real potential to cost me $$$ as my sites are used as a major reference point when pitching to clients on a daily basis.

Unfortunately, I will have to take my services elsewhere as I cannot have my sites shut down on every malicious complaint a competitor submits.

don't go for such a cheap thing better buy hosting through hostgator or godaddy, cheap things always create problems, i was on their server from many months but always having issues like, 403 error, establishing data base error, viruses in backup and many others, they are having Pentium 1 servers which cannot bear 1 website which having some auto feeds, and when you complain to them they simply suspend your account.

Also, what did they do after you were suspended? Did you manage to sort the issue out? Was the problem not solved and you got a refund or no refund?

Please elaborate more so others can have a better informed decision.

And OP, since you have two complaints in your sales thread it would be a better reflection on your company if you will deal with them.

Well I just gave Host the Name a try for a MNS project.
Everything worked so far. instant account setup, dns transfer within minutes easy CPanel WP installation.
So thumbs up so far, easy 9/10. I will be back after a month or two for a full review.

been on the pro plan for awhile. everything was going great. decided to change my site to wp. had nothing but problems for several days in a row with sql database problems. didnt matter if i cached it. everytime i tried to edit something sql would go down. cpanel was constantly going down at the same time quoting storage problems on their end. i also had many problems with storage capacity on sda3. it was always running out of space. sometimes id try to edit an html file but filezilla couldnt save it cause storage space unavailable. ill host my plain html page for the mean time but im going to look for another host that can handle my wp or joomla needs.
