Just bought the plugin yesterday. Had trouble setting up ioncube on my server. According to my phpinfo ioncube loaders are working, but when I contacted support for this product they basically told me I'm on my own. I'm really annoyed that on day 1 I can't get support from these guys. I went out on a limb because other people on here said the support was good, but not for me. I am really disappointed.
I sent an extremely detailed support ticket with a link to a phpinfo.php file that shows what's happening and I just got a form email saying that it's not their problem. Happy Thanksgiving.
Hi, I just read your ticket and things are not quite as you stated here.
Your "extremely detailed" support ticket stated:
"When I run a php check manually on my site, it shows that ioncube loader 4.0.10 is installed. <URL removed for privacy>
When I try to test with the wp plugin ioncube tester, it says that ioncube isn't active.
Can you please help me figure out what the problem is? "
The support team replied with:
"Hi Jonathan
The plugin is using the same techniques as are used by the ionCube loaders to determine if they are able to run.
If the plugin is suggesting they are not available, then I suggest you contact your technical support for 1&1 and have them examine the loaders.
Kind regards
Simon"
This seems a fair reply considering that it is your webhost that needs to look in to this for you. Simply put, our tech support team cannot fix or look in to an issue that resolves to your hosting.
As advised, please contact your web hoting support regarding this issue.
Thanks,
