is NHSEO working on mac?if not, this can be made to work on mac ?(extra cost not a problem if needed )

It is currently possible to run No Hands SEO in a virtual machine such as VMware or some software such as WineX or Parallels. The ideal solution would likely be virtual machine software as it will act example as you would expect it to in a "real" windows environment.

Hi

I am interested in giving it a test run, been getting annoyed with scrapebox crashing in the middle of tasks and looking for alternatives for posting comments and trackbacks. Not sure if I missed this but what kind of reporting does it offer on backlinks built? and is there a way to check if the links that it submitted are live/ verified?

Thanks

You can output a list of generated links, posts or targets at any time you like by simply right clicking on a profile(s) and then choosing to output the list. There is also a built in link checker that gives lots of options for checking and outputting links, e.g. outputting a specific type of link or by quality criteria. From the link checker you can also output details of your link (in a .csv output) such as its PR, outbound links, whether D0follow or not, platform and other details.

Does anyone have actually pictures of their rankings actually rising?

In my sig I have 2 links to recent threads where users have managed to get top rankings using just No Hands SEO to their websites, these are linked below:

Verified success with No Hands SEO
Case Study with No Hands SEO

This is on top of the numerous other very positive reviews where people have managed positive movements in their rankings, lots have also talked about first page (even #1) rankings by using NHSEO alone. Obviously the difficulty of your niche will determine how realistic #1 rankings will be for your keywords but it is definitely possible. My main tip is to use lots of variation in your anchor texts for best results.

1) You should update to the latest version, this was sorted a few updates back.
2) There was a bug, it was fixed a few updates back
3) Same as #2. The linking pages are added to a tier project very shortly after the link is confirmed on the page, it should normally be a matter of seconds.

Well 2 weeks ago it created so many links that I put a limit into all my projects and re-created them after you added the tier links function (when there wasn't an option to add them later, so I had to recreate). After that I added TheBestSpinner, CaptchaSniper, NoHandsPinger and NoHandsIndexer. (only Option in NHS I changed other than the posting limit was setting up min PR to 1)

After that, posting rates dropped dramatically. I currently get just about 100 confirmed links per day overall (about 10 per site) and as I said before, the number of pages of my tier links is much lower than the confirmed links number of the related moneysites (if I get it right, they should be about the same).

http://abload.de/img/nhsstatstskbw.png

In this list you can see what I mean (line 2 are the tier links for moneysite in line 1 etc).

Another thing that seemed to have happened on one of the updates was that all my sites lost their posting texts (I was stupid enough not to save them anywhere else). If all these things are unique in my case then I guess I'll have a look into my system. Maybe doing a complete reinstall of NHS is a good idea, but i'd have to set up all projects again x)

So, if anyone else has similar problems (and maybe even solved them), I'd appreciate any advice :)

Edit: Oh btw, don't want this to sound negative. The software itself is great and helped me ranking my sites a lot.

Limiting by PR will lower the amount of links you are able to make dramatically, also if you are not using good proxies with this feature you will lower the amount of links made even further as Google limits the amount of PR calls a specific IP can do per day. I prefer the OBL limit over the PR limit as PR changes all the time and is not a particularly reliable metric of quality these days. Easiest way to increase number of links generated per day is to use good private proxies and to increase the amount of searching threads, searching threads is the most limiting factor by far for most users.

The tiered linking option was bugged initially such that not all links were added to the tier profile, that was fixed a few updates back now and should be working fine, it won't add the missing linking pages though. You can output the list of links from your parent profile and add them to your tier profile if you are concerned about these missing links.

When you say posting texts do you mean custom comments? I haven't heard anyone mention this and I haven't seen it myself either, that would be something that I imagine would be noticed pretty quickly. The other issue with the tiering was a bug but it was fixed within a day or two, however I am not sure why your custom comments would not be saved or loaded correctly. If you are referring to different text then please let me know so I can look into it.

Reinstalling NHSEO will have little effect as all profiles and settings are saved to the database which is not overwritten when you install, you would have to remove the DATABASE.db3 file from the "My Documents\No Hands SEO" folder and then install to wipe the slate clean, though I doubt this would help much. I would suggest to rather just re-enter whatever text is missing to your existing profiles.

I realise that all users will likely need some help now and again, I wouldn't want any user to think they can't ask a question for fear of sounding negative. If you have questions in future just ask away, I always try to be upfront with issues, if something is a genuine bug I would much rather find it and fix it than sweep it under the rug and pretend like nothing is happening.

I would like to give the Trial run a try on my Parallels but it says it can't, only the full version.

Any way I can test drive this before I purchase?

I'm on a Mac...

I am sorry but I do not have a Mac so I cannot test it but perhaps Wine would be able to run it for you. I am sorry I cannot provide more support but I can say that the full version definitely works within a VM such as Parallels or VMPlayer, there are a few of my users that use it this way.

The reason is that the protection used on the trial is not the same as the one used on the full version.

If Wine does not get it working then send me a PM and I will offer another option for using the trial.

The number of links being posted and verified has really slowed down. The oldest projects are 1.5 weeks. The older the project, the less amount of links being acquired.

I am running 8 profiles, 3 of which have tiered linking, for a total of 11 profiles. I am running 6 search threads with 50 private proxies from BuyProxies. I am automatically checking the proxies every 30 minutes. The only limitation I am using is 250 OBL for the 8 main profiles,no Trending Keywords, and no Page type sites. It seems like only about 30 - 35 proxies are working at any time according to the status being displayed at the bottom of the NHSEO window.

Wondering if I should try proxies from another provider to see if I can get a better ratio of working proxies than 35 out of 50 or is this within what is normally experienced? Or should I upgrade to their 100 private proxy package and accept that 30% will not be working at any given time?

I am waiting to add more projects until I can confirm the results of using NHSEO. So far I have not seen any signs of negative affects and see it is helping at least some of the keywords in 3 of the profiles. I tend to track about 50 keywords per profile so it gets a little difficult to see absolute trends right away. But I am probably looking at adding another 5 profiles soon. Should I be shooting for at least 5 good proxies per profile with 1 posting thread per profile? With the cost of private proxies, only having 70% working at any time increases their cost a good bit so I was wondering what your experiences have been.

Thanks

Here are my verified and posted stats. The + numbers are how much they have increased within the past 22.5 hours. Do these numbers look reasonable? Project ID 1 has always seemed to get much less links even though it is a Fence site like 2 other projects. But website for project ID 1 really doesn't matter to me as this site already has lots of #1 rankings and this was just for my initial testing purposes. I will probably just deactivate this project as it is using resources without much results and I currently have the rankings I want.

Setting an OBL limit of about 250 will be limiting your link possibilities by a good margin, that is very likely the main contributor to a low amount of links being made. You can check in your log to see what is happening, I would imagine you will see lots of failed posts due to OBL.

Personally I wouldn't use an OBL limit, least of all one at 250, on my tier profiles as it will just limit the amount of links (obv.) which shouldn't be as necessary on your tier pages, though it is obviously your choice.

The number of proxies is independent from the number of profiles, it is really only dependant on your searching threads. If you are using 6 searching threads you should be fine with your 30-35 working proxies. If you would like you could try increasing the number of search threads gradually until you start to get more proxies failing in Google or Yahoo and then maybe fall back on a thread or 2. The main limiting factor in the large majority of users will be the number of searching threads. I have already advised not to go more than 1 searching thread for every 5 proxies but this is something that I haven't pushed for a very long time and it may be the case that more search threads per proxies is usable. Proxies don't get burnt out forever, so you shouldn't have any burnt out proxies for too long.

Some profiles will get less links than others, it could be down to search keywords or the anchor text. All search keywords give different targets and some groups of targets are more likely to result in a link than others, this is just natural variation. The anchor text can determine link success rate in cases where it is overly long, some platforms have a limit of about 40 or so on the anchor text so it is generally a good practice to try and keep your anchor texts below 35 characters.

I just gotta send another reply on this software. Been running for 2 weeks now and already seeing first page increases from #8-9 to #4-5. Only using this and some whitehat geniune forum posting and social networking. This is one serious piece of software.

Jim,

Sorry to unload even more questions on you on top of the PMs (have never seen such an incredible level of support) but I'm just stuck in a few areas:

- How can I improve the success rate? Feels like a waste to see 1300 posted pages and only 60 verified links, thats 4.6%. Am using death by captcha now, no limiting by PR (only by OBL: 750) and my IP is clean. Anchor text below 35 characters...anything else that could cause the success rate to be so low?

- Speed issue: Admittedly, I'm only using 5 total and 1 searching threads. However, I'm noticing something weird with the posting behaviour: The "posted" count increases by about 20-30 within a few seconds, then it sits still for another 3-5 minutes, then goes up by 20-30 and waits again for 3-5 minutes. Is that supposed to be like that?

Have noticed this happening since around 1100+ "Posted", it wasn't that slow when starting out. Have been using the 5 threads all the time. Plenty of memory/CPU available on my machine as well.

- I'm giving NHS a rough test on a profile that has about 20k search keywords, 20k anchors and a ton of seriously heavy spun comments. It's a site with around 14k pages and I set NHS to crawl them all (what an awesome feature that is...). Is that going to work? So far I have 81 verified links but the "pages" count is still at 1 instead of 14k, whereas with another profile I tested before (just 10 pages), the page count updated the moment NHS attempted to build the first link. Is there a limit of pages NHS can crawl or did that page count just not update yet/not display correctly?

Right clicked on the profile -> rescan ->re-crawl site but that didn't change anything.

- What's up with the many french sites? I took a look into the successfully placed links for 2 profiles that are in a completely different niche each and a ton of the links are all from french sites. Any reason for that or just a coincidence?

Again, thanks so much for the support!

OBL limit is a limit, you are intentionally limiting the amount of links possible by setting a limit. 4.6% is not too shabby considering you are limiting posts tbh. There is never going to be a case where the majority of sites accept all links, it just isn't going to happen, this is the case with all backlinking tools. Some tools will have a much higher %age success rate but they are based on a list of sites rather than searching and posting based on search keywords.

I have not seen anything like what you are stating with the posting but tbh I don't generally test with such low thread settings. I will take a look at it though to see what happens.

There isn't a limit to the number of pages that NHSEO can crawl and promote, it is possible that the site was down when it first tried to crawl the site or if you have entered the homepage as http://domain.com where the default is http://www.domain.com or vice versa. It won't be able to crawl in that situation as www.domain.com and domain.com are not the same domain.

is there any way to make NHSEO to support spintax urls?if i have 100 web 2.0 links and wanted to build tier 2 links with NHDSEO i have to build 100 campaigns :(

Using spintax for URLs would be totally pointless as spinning is random, when adding a profile via the Add Profile Wizard you can enter in as many pages as you like so there is no need to mess around with spinning for the URLs list.

i added 3 profiles and no one shows on NHSEO.i cancell it and i saw only 1 added when i open it again.i also saw on importing anchors from file is importing with two {{}} instead of {} even if my file is having correct format.i added 15 k keywords but is showing 9k only.seems NHSEO still have some essential bugs

You've mentioned this not adding profile thing a couple of times yet I cannot at all replicate the issue and no other users have mentioned this since it was fixed a while ago, could you give some idea of the process you are going through to add the profile that could lead me to figure out what it is that could be causing this? I have tried stressing it many times but just cannot get it to not add the profile.

The wrapping of anchors with { and } is more to prevent issues when adding anchors to existing text, it will not cause any issue with anything whatsoever and is not a bug but intended functionality.

Adding a list of keywords as long as 15k suggests that it has been scraped by another tool and the reason it only results in 9k keywords in NHSEO is because it is checked for dupes and dupes are automatically removed so again that is not a bug but intended functionality as there is no point in having multiples of the same keyword.

EDIT: I just released another update that speeds up the adding of profiles with a large list of keywords and/or pages. The profiles were adding fine and closing the app mid way through is why the profiles appeared to not be adding correctly, they were still being added.

I can't guarantee improvement in search rankings for all users but if you haven't seen any change there is likely something that has been setup in a way that is not really helping much. Without any information about your specific setup there is nothing I can do to advise, if you wish to divulge some more info I would be able to advise accordingly.

More and more people are starting to come forward with their positive experience or improved rankings and this is what I have always seen from NHSEO so it is likely something quite simple that is setup inefficiently.

maybe i should use team W and u will see exactly what i am talking about

Thanks again Jim!

Regarding the crawling: Seems this was a plugin issue on my site. I deactivated the plugin and NHS was able to crawl, however for that site it doesn't manage to crawl more than 25 pages or so, despite the site having 14k posts. I took a look at the list of pages it crawled and it's pretty much only those links that were in the sidebar ("recent posts") and in the rest of the navigation (main menu + footer). Tried displaying 500 posts on the homepage as well as 500 posts in the sidebar and set NHS to recrawl but that didn't change anything, even after multiple restarts.

Is there any way I can force it to crawl the whole site in one go or maybe go multiple levels deep for the crawl? Or just give it a sitemap to feed? That would actually be an awesome feature!

Would be great if I could solve this or else NHS doesn't make much sense for the site and afaik, NHS is the only one to do the crawl-website-thing, which is amazing.

Cheers,
Alex

Can you PM me the website? NHSEO has been successfully crawling websites for over a year with its current crawling code, I have not seen any bugs in it in this time so it is likely something relating to the pages being served via JS/AJAX/Flash or you have set a limit to the number of crawling pages of 25. If the links on your pages are all regular html links there is no reason they should not be crawled fine.

Thanks Jim, pm sent. Please let me know what you find.

Also, I looked into the NHS log and I constantly see that it's wasting a bunch of time/energy to ping various links. I've integrated NHS pinger and set it up in the settings (test is successful) and I also see links being pinged successfully in NHS pinger. Why is NHS itself still pinging stuff?

This would actually explain an issue I asked about previously (NHS building links, then waiting for 3-5 minutes before the post count increases again). Seems like NHS isn't waiting during these 3-5 minutes but pinging, when it really shouldn't since NHS pinger is set up for that. What can I do?

Edit: Just added a profile in the health niche but the success rate is seriously low, like 5 verified out of 1000 posted. In the log I see a ton of messages like "couldn't determine platform" and "couldn't find form" for that profile. What I'm really wondering about is why the success rate is so low for this profile, since it uses the same settings as all my other profiles (that have success rates of ~5%)? I also looked at a few of the sites where it said "couldn't find form" and I was manually easily able to find and post to it, so not sure why NHS had problems?

Also seeing a few "Failed: Captcha present, could not post". Does that happen when the captcha solver wasn't quick enough to solve it? Since I'm using DBC, I can't see why I'd still run into captcha unsolved issues.
